My experience at the Jade restaurant surpassed my expectations.
There was a long waiting outside the restaurant during dinner time so we waited and were seated at one of the available tables.
The interior of the restaurant was pretty elegant and nice. It really felt as if we were in an Asian restaurant that had dishes from all of over East Asia.
We ordered Spring Rolls, Chicken Satay & Crab Dumplings for appetizers. Both the spring rolls and chicken satay were excellent and perfectly made. The crab dumplings on the other had were okay.
For main course, we ordered Pad Thai Noodles & Yellow Fish Curry. The Pad Thai Noodles were amazing and undoubtedly, the best dish out of all the dishes that we tried out. The taste was so good on the palate. I’ve not had such delicious Pad Thai before. The Yellow Fish Curry was also nice but I was expecting some more yellow curry in the dish.
The presentation of every dish was quite impressive with a good choice of plates. Kudos to the chefs and restaurant for this wonderful evening.
I would highly recommend trying Jade if you’re in...
Read moreAs a hospitality industry profesional I never rate a place less than 3 stars unless they really mess up on purpose or they are rude. The staff are wonderful and the atmosphere is great but here’s my review of the food. We ordered 3 appetizers, 2 of them had the same sauce and the spring rolls had a red sauce that was so overpowering it was hard to eat. Then we ordered the chicken and pork as mains and surprise! They both were covered in the same sauce as the spring rolls. We walked out, not rudely, we are not picky eaters but we just couldn’t eat any more of that sauce. All the staff are wonderful and not their fault but as a feedback to the Chefs this restaurant needs some work and the...
Read moreThe food is bad. Everything was quite disappointing. A lot of dishes that one would recognize - Pad Thai, coconut curry, crispy spring rolls, Yaki Soba, General Tso Chicken… nothing tasted like expected. General Tso tasted like McDonald’s sweet and sour sauce. The fish coconut curry had good flavour but it was incredibly salty. The spring rolls were pretty awful and the sauce they came with inedible. Broccoli beef was disgusting. The chicken satay was grilled chicken on a stick with a cream sauce that tasted vaguely like peanut. The Chop Sui vegetables were the only saving grace. Tasty and crunchy. Good with rice. Despite being at the newer resort, the food was...
