Mexicana Cantina Restaurant — Restaurant in Higüey

I went here last night on a whim as I was heading to another restaurant! I prefer the Parm truffle Risotto with Steak & a drink! Both were pretty good but service was pretty slow! I was pretty patient but than Raphael, the waiter came up to me and said my food will be out in two minutes. 10-15 min past by and nothing I followed up and he goes 2min and about 10-15 went by til I got my food! When I received my check I was charged extra for something I didn’t ask for and the waiter try to say remember when you asked when I never did! I only said steak and later when I got my food realize I did not say how I would like it to be cooked or asked how! He gave me a bit of a push back about it but I wasn’t paying an extra $10 for something I didn’t ask nor received! Actually, look out for that for any place you go to! This the second plan that tries to overcharge me smh Anyways, you should check your receipt before you go! There’s an automatic tip in plane but for that he did not get any additional tip from me! Me and my family was forced to eat outside after waiting online from 5:30 read it to 6 o’clock just to get a reservation and the manager lighters made a sit outside, and then let other people inside. I was of the same stance told us that had to be Diamond club to sit inside. it’s not easy to eat dinner around bugs and flies. Very annoying. If it was a burger or something you could pick up at Costco to be easier but when you have food and different plates come in and the flies are swarming it’s hard to eat other people were upset to, she let some people and I was Hispanic, except for us the Black people the way to was good and the food was good. Dont waste your time here, nor Royalton Punta Cana, Dom. Rep.. I ordered an appetizer, and after plenty of wait time it came out with my group's entrees. Ok, I figured I wouldn't wait long before receiving my meal but my entree never made it to me. I had to leave the restaurant pretty much hungry. I explained to the waiter that appetizers go out before entrees, not with everyone's meal. After I let another waitress know, she apologized and promised to book my group a reservation in another restaurant. Because I know better, I agreed but called to confirm.
