We went for tuesdays special: 3 for price of 2 sushi rolls. When we ordered we requested extra ginger. When the plates came there was not only no extra ginger. There was no ginger whatsoever. Waitress said nothing. They grated carrots i guess, hoping we wouldnt notice...? We called waitress over and were told they were out of ginger. On our way in to the restaurant we stopped by the pastry display which was unfortunately empty. We asked if there would be more and at 4:30 pm (open til 11 pm) they said no more desserts until tomorrow. By this time in the lunch we decided to speak to the manager. She came over and was very concerned we had no ginger snd rushed off to (we presumed) rectify the situation. She never returned. We never told her about our disappointment with the empty pastry shelf....she was the one standing there telling us not til tomorrow. When the bill came the prices were very different than the online menu. When we questioned the waitress she quickly explained the menu is 3 years old....prices have gone up but not reflected on menu. Ok. So what about the virgin pina colada? The NEW menu says 200 pesos...? Waitress explained the one WITHOUT alcohol costs more...250 pesos. Never going back. ...

We went around 2 in the afternoon. We sat ourselves. After 10 minutes of waiting for one of the MANY servers who were working to greet us and give us a menu, we finally went to the cashier at the entrance who told us that if we didn’t want the food from the buffet that we could scan the QR Code for the menu. After a few minutes, we were ready to order. Another 10 minutes went by. In that time, I flagged down 3 servers who all ignored me and kept walking by us.

Finally, I got one servers attention and he promptly apologized and took our food and drink orders. She returned to the table multiple times to refill our drinks and assure us that our food was on its way. After about 15 minutes our food came out. The chicken Alfredo was pretty good, but by the time I got it I wasn’t hungry and ended up taking it to go. The BBQ chicken wings were okay.

Overall, this review was more about the lack of service than the food itself. I won’t return to Amigos when other restaurants that I’ve visited in the past have been...

The restaurant advertises themselves as a steak house but they don’t even have different cuts of steak. The cocktails are great. The ambiance is great and the staff is nice. I just had a bad experience with the food. I ordered a filet mignon and they gave me a skirt steak that was cut into thin strips. I explained to them that’s not what I ordered and the meat was overcooked since they used the wrong cut of meat. After going back and forth a few times they said they would remake the steak without the cuts. I had to take it to go because the vibe was bad after that. This is not a filet mignon. 🙃 The mash potatoes were too sweet and too much cheese. The only thing I liked was the vegetables. I had to pay for the full meal even though they never told me they didn’t have the cut. And the steak is still well done and I asked for it to be medium. You can’t make a skirt steak medium.
