Jade Restaurant — Restaurant in Santiago de los Caballeros

We just came back from Jade to eat. Closes at 11:30pm. We got there at 11pm. First, we weren’t informed can’t do any drinks until we sat down, only beer and natural drinks. Fine, so we ordered lemonade n water. We ordered appetizers and out of 2 apps only 1 came. And guess what? The lemonade n water came 10min after the appetizers that we had to ask for! I ordered some dumplings, those never came either (the waiter n I discussed whether I wanted fried or steamed). We’ll, it never came anyways so what that conversation wasn’t meaningful. I asked waiter what happened to the appetizer he said, “oh it didn’t come?” It was never on the receipt when the bill came, so he never put it in the system. I was in seat D6 Friday night Victor being the waiter, Not even an apology, I was a waiter before I know we can miss things or just wants to leave bcuz it’s late. An apology would have been nice! The food was ok! Not something to be excited about, if your in the area, I would reccomend another place to eat! Or go like 7-9Pm maybe they will More attentive. I will say the place is nice, most staff are nice n attentive, and food is usually good. Just...

We come to Pricesmart from Puerto Plata and every time we choose Jade we had problems. Yesterday was FREEZING . It was cold out from rain. Told they can’t turn it off or turn it up. Poor service….many wait staff …. No one to take order. We changed tables 3 times. The music is LOUD…. We meet to talk not to have to shout to be able to hear. Learn about soft friendly beautiful music to enjoy our conversations without shouting. My friend’s sweet and sour soup was very salty. It seems the wait staff is not properly trained. We too 2 hours 15 minutes for lunch… and this is our last visit to Jade…. I am sorry but you have to improve your customer service. I don’t like to give bad reviews…. But you must learn good customer...

It’s a decent restaurant if you are looking for Asian cuisine similar to the States. I ordered the spicy soup which had mushrooms and it was great. We also ordered the rack of ribs and my husband devoured those in seconds ! Now, they are not fall off the bone type of ribs, but they were tasty. We also got the Dominican sushi- probably not the best, but because of my son’s food allergies it’s one of the only sushi’s he can have. Would I recommend that type of sushi ? No. But I would recommend the restaurant. Service was nice and fairly quick - and the prices...
