Loved loved loved La Desayuneria… Me and my friends came here for late breakfast, it was around 11:30am - 12:30pm, so there was not much going on at that time. We were able to choose out table and our waiter gave us time to look at the menu and make our choices.

First of all, if you like coffee but also feel like trying something new but fresh but like homemade by grandma, get their café: Mocha de la casa… it was HOT outside when we came at the middle of August, so hot is an understatement, but that didn’t matter, two of us got their mocha and it was SOOO SOOOO SOOOOO GOOD!! A must, really!!!! I got the “Colorá” french toast; it was the most flavorful plate I have had in a while, like a bomb of flavors in your mouth. It was sweet but also salty but also super mega savory, it was literally the best and most perfect combination of toppings in a french eggy** toast. One of my friends got the “Francés” french toast, it was so good but compared to Colorá, it was just good. My friend had to come back before leaving the DR and get a colora for her completely!!

Service was also above and beyond, specially at the time we decided to come, and food came out very fast. This place should be a MUST VISIT if you’re in Santiago in time for breakfast. We tried 4 different choices, I tasted my friends’ choices and devoured mine and all four were amazing in...

The atmosphere is nice but the service is HORRIBLE. The waiter completely ignored us for over 10mins. She would go over to the people that were tourist and the ones dressed up. I saw her go twice to the same table to offer water and twice that table denied it. When she finally comes over, the first thing she said was the wait is over 40mins. Practically trying to kick us out. Even the cashier guy with the blue shirt looked at her and told her that she was exaggerating.

I decided to wait either way and the truth is the food only took 15mins to arrive! We ordered our drinks with our meal but the meal came first. They make the mangu with olive oil. After I finished my meal, I had to shout to the waiter for my drinks because they would never look my way nor pass by my table. They completely forgot about our drinks.

I would watch as new customers would come in and order drinks and they would serve them right away. So I came to the conclusion that this restaurant only wants a specific type of crowd here. They do not want locals. They want the tourist and rich. The tip is included on the receipt, (18%), not that they deserve it. Overall, the food is not worth it.

Also, people are allowed to smoke here so beware! I had a smoker nearby.

The waiter guy in the blue shirt was nice to us and brought us our drinks. He even apologized. Kudos...

I had high expectations about this restaurant based on the reviews I saw, the food was good but unfortunately the service was so bad. I was treated so poorly here by the server. All based on prejudice because I arrived in a motorcycle instead of a car to the restaurant. I was 2 mins away from my apartment and this was the best way for me to get there. Unfortunately I wouldn’t be going back, I decided to get the 3 golpes light and he refused to change the ham turkey for salami and did not accommodate me at all. The server never checked on me and I had to track him down to get the check. On top of that he was going to stay with my change instead of letting me decide if I...

From the décor and aesthetic to the food, this place is a solid 5/5. The coffee was a bit strong for my taste, but like with cocktails, it all depends on who’s making it—baristas are basically the bartenders of the morning shift! I ordered the bistec with mangu and a side of avocado—absolutely amazing. My boyfriend had the onguis omelette with fresh fruit, and his cousin went with the Cuban French toast. I stole bites from both (of course), and everything was a 10/10. Service was excellent—super friendly and attentive. The wait was about 25–30 minutes, but the server let us know upfront, which we really appreciated. Totally worth another visit next time we are in town.
