Went to this restaurant with my family on a Sunday afternoon (Silversun Gallery location). Ordered several appetizers, did not have the Brisket Nachos we ordered because they ran out, ok can happen. Several different waiters came to our table, never really was sure which one was our waiter, not one introduced themselves. I asked one waitress several questions she only replied to my wife and basically ignored me (my Spanish is fine). Another waiter came to the table several times with drinks we did not order (table mix ups can happen, but not one mistake after another, this staff is overstressed, or just clueless, they were not smiling, not happy and it was very noticeable). Finally our buffalo wings arrived which were first offered to the table next to us again wrong table (and the wings came with another sauce we asked for, but at this point I was not going to complicate matters by pointing this out). I asked the waitress if everything turned out ok with the drinks, they said it was for another table (no explanation or apology for the mix up etc.). Ordered water for everybody (5 people), only 4 glasses with ice came out. (Does that really matter, not really but they charge the same $ as they do in the States or European Applebees, but service WAY under par). Went to the bathroom, no place to dry hands, both hand towel machines empty, no paper towels, no hand dryer. (don't you hate that when that happens, I expect this from a public bathroom somewhere shady maybe). Came back to the table, we did not have enough napkins, at this point I did not want to show my disappointment to my family members to spoil their lunch. Not once did the waiter come and ask us if everything was alright. My daughters ordered the Quesadillas, they did not finish it, they did not like it, it was very dry. I ordered the oriental chicken salad, with teriyaki chicken, chicken was too dry. My wife tried the ribs which were fine, so I was relieved for her ( I was like phew).... I don't want to keep complaining about the nitty gritty, just altogether not up to speed, not up to the level I expect of an Applebees. Also asked if they had internet WIFI, they said its too busy to use, with other words one problem after another. Read moreBeen here before and it was great. I can’t complain about the food but the server today out of all days on valentines was very off point. Was super slow and seemed bored and careless about his job. We came in and was able to get a table quickly. Then the server came in and greeted us right away not even giving us a chance to even see the menu and asked what we wanted to drink. We said we don’t know and off he went. Left for so long we had to get another waiter to start taking our order. Then he showed up and took the order. Bring us our appetizer which was great and then the main meals came and all the small plates were there on the table. We had to get another waiter to take them for we can accommodate our main meal. Then he never not even once came to check up on us. Not to check if we needed anything. Not to check if the food was good. One of the drink ( Long Island ) we ordered was so watery tasted like juice. He returned it and came back saying what else you want. If you order the same thing it’s gonna be the same. 😡. Then we started looking at the drink menu to see what else and he left and never came back. Until we had to get him to give us the check. Overall the food and the place was great. That’s why I give two stars. But someone from the us comes here because it’s familiar and it should be the same service. That guy should not be working there. Read moreBad service, cold food. I went to lunch yesterday at the Applebees in Downtown Mall, it wasn't busy. The steak was almost cold when it was served, I guess it had been sitting waiting for the servers to stop chatting to each other and serve it. Nobody asked if the food was OK until I had nearly finished. I told the server that my food was almost cold, and she just said "I'm sorry". Nothig else.
During the meal, another waitress served some oil and vinegar and when I made space for it on the table, I knocked my bottle of beer over. All over me. The server just said "No es mi culpa" (Not my fault) and did nothing. No offer to get me another drink, no offer to give me something to dry myself off with. What is most important is to make the customer understand that it wasn't her fault, amazing service huh? I did complain about this to the other server, and she just said "oh I'm sorry". Then the first one reappeared with a mop and a bucket, didn't say a word to me, and started mopping the floor when I was eating, while chatting loudly to the couple on the next table.
Applebees you really need to get some better staff. There are so many better people out there looking for work, you don't need to employ people who are this awful. My advice to anyone thinking of going, don't bother, you can find far better service in...
