Cueva Siete — Restaurant in Santo Domingo

I’m sad to have to amend my original review (below). The employees here have shady business practices. After coming here over 6 times during my business travel, the waiter charged me double for my meal (most likely by adding more for the tip than I actually tipped). The amount updated the next day. When I spoke with the manager and showed him proof of the transaction and a picture of my receipt, they did absolutely nothing about it. Be careful here. Shady employees and business practices.

One of the newest places is town in the recently opened AC Marriott hotel?. The flavor of the restaurant is Mexican driven and great flavor is appreciated in the drinks and in the tacos and pozole options. The guacamole and pork glacéd warm entrees were Ok. The winner for us were the newly York tacos. Service was below average as they seem to be getting up to pace since opening. There’s a full bar near the entrance and restrooms are nice and available. Valet parking and self parking are available near the entrance in the same building. This place is very busy and I recommend making reservations...

The experience was overall good. My husband and I would rate the appetizers at 50/50 because some were excellent, and others just did not tempt our palets at all... due to flavor combinitaions, etc.

The main dishes, however, were excellent!
