I recently had the pleasure of dining here, a new upscale Japanese restaurant that promises an unforgettable culinary experience. From the moment we walked in, the ambience was captivating, setting the stage for a memorable evening. The seafood was a highlight, with an array of nigiri that was simply exquisite. While the wagyu nigiri could have been better, the thinly sliced wagyu dish more than made up for it with its melt-in-your-mouth perfection. The noodles were also a delight, perfectly cooked and flavorful. The restaurant boasts an impressive selection of both cold and hot sake, with the hot sake being a standout. We indulged in two desserts. One was excellent, while the dark cheesecake was just okay, mainly due to the sorbet ice cream that didn't quite hit the mark. The service was impeccable. Despite the restaurant being packed, we had three different waiters attending to us, ensuring that our needs were met promptly. A special mention goes to Rosa, who was exceptional and added a personal touch to our dining experience. The overall experience was outstanding. The combination of excellent service, a vibrant atmosphere, and mostly delicious food earns Makoto a solid 10/10 in my book. It's definitely worth a visit for anyone looking to enjoy high-quality Japanese cuisine.

This is a fusion Japanese restaurant that serves Japanese dishes their way. It’s appears to be fairly new, very modern, upscale atmosphere. The service was very good, and the staff were friendly. The weakness was the food. I ordered some Brussels sprouts that came with a Korean sauce, and it just didn’t match for me. The sauce was far too strong for the sprouts, so you couldn’t taste the sprouts at all. I ordered the shrimp tempura and the breading was thick, not flaky like traditional tempura, and it tasted like ginger. Another combination that didn’t appeal to me. So while the restaurant was nice, the food is the bottom line, and for me it wasn’t a place that I will repeat.

Makoto is a beautifully designed Miami-style restaurant with modern design and DJ playing music in a new hotel complex. The food was delicious and well cooked and seasoned. It just opened this month, Sept 2024 so the service team was chaotic and inattentive yet pleasant and hospitable. I would suggest to update the menu with not just the title of tbe dishes but also in-depth descriptions of the offerings as many are exotic Japanese dishes. Our party had a person allergic to Gluten and we had a stressful time finding options. Cocktails were interesting and good.
