La Rambla Bistro Grill — Restaurant in Santo Domingo

Place is comfy, elegant and amazingly decorated. Food is not as delicious as it seems. We ordered two entrees/starters: Flauta de Pollo which was pretty good and Rambla Spinach Dip which wasn't what I expected, it wasn't creamy at all and didn't taste as good as it looked like. We also ordered the Pechuga Rambla, I was very surprised with it, the sweet and salty combination made it a festival of tastings, delicious. The other one was the pasta... The real recipe and plate was “Risotto de Blue Cheese and Churrasco”, I changed the risotto for penne, it was good but not what we expected, taste was like any other normal pasta with vegetables. The recipe was with caramelized pears and it only had a bit of it. Cokctails no son su fuerte. Bathroom was clean and beautiful.

Service is not as good as the place. We had to ask the waiter for the bill THREE times, he was in the air the whole time.

I hope they can improve and act through all these things, place is so beautiful they cannot waste the chance to...

This place, though located in a nice neighborhood and looks good, the service is HORRIBLE! I visited the place with my family as we celebrated my nephews college graduation from business administration, and we were totally EMBARRASSED. There was NO, "WELCOME/GREETINGS THE PLACE WAS CONGESTED WITH CHAIRS, AND NOT WITH PEOPLE. THE WAITER TOOK HIS TIME, ODDLY SLOW AND GAVE US ONE MENU. WE HAD TO REQUEST MENUS FOR ALL 7 OF US. AND THE MENU WASN'T THAT GREAT TO BEGIN WITH. ANOTHER FAMILY WALKED IN, HUSBAND AND WIFE AND TWO YOUNG CHILDREN. THE WAITER LEFT US AND WENT TO THEM. I NOTICED HIS EXTREME LACK OF SERVICE AND ETIQUETTE. HE DIDN'T EVEN PUT WATER ON THE TABLE. I made the decision to EXIT THE RESTAURANT. As we exited the restaurant, we ran into the other family, and curiously I asked why they were leaving. " THE SERVICE WAS AWFUL. " "It's the same reason why we are leaving", I said. We went to Adrian restaurant where the attention and food...

The place is really good, service is polite and fast, food's good and with an adequate portion size, you can expect to be full with a dish. The interior is pretty cozy. I would probably come back here.

My only complaint not give it 5 stars is that I don't find it has the right price/value. The place is expensive and the food isn't mind blowing, it's just good. I also usually order my mojitos mixed since I don't like to feel the leaves and, for the first time, the bartender mixed the lime altogether which left all the peeling crushed inside the drink, that wasn't nice.

They also don't have a drinks menu, which is fine because they just make whatever drinks you ask for but not having a wine or beer...
