In 1966 this cave located in the old Dominican Zoo had their western most entrance 25 meters directly across a cage hosting a pair of gorillas. A very wild male know as "Buche" and it's female partner.
The cave could be reach by an 7 to 8 feet drop hole. This hole was covered around 1972. The Santa Ana cave consisted in a series of large interior chambers (probably 7 or 8) , connected by tunnels of various levels of difficulty.
