We have tried Palacio Gung in Santiago and Santo Domingo and both have been outstanding! The portions are large and the food is always delicious. This is the best Korean food I’ve found on the island! I love how they keep with the traditional custom of serving banchan (the small side dishes they bring out to start a meal) before bringing the main course. I had the bibimbap and my husband had the kimchi fried rice with pork and they were both excellent. We even asked the waiter if they could substitute the ground beef in the bibimbap for sliced beef and they obliged kindly. The staff was very kind and accommodating and the prices are reasonable, especially since Korean food isn’t easy to find in the Dominican Republic! We will definitely be back!

Amazing! Loved EVERYTHING! -SERVICE WAS FRIENDLY & EXCELLENT -AMBIENCE WAS EXCELLENT -PRICES OF FOOD WERE REASONABLE BASED ON PORTIONS (compared to NYC) -TOTALLY AUTHENTIC KOREAN FOOD (which I did not expect in Dominican Republic) -CLEAN RESTAURANT AND RESTROOMS -TEA WAS SUPER EXPENSIVE IN MY OPINION, BUT IT WAS WORTH IT BECAUSE OF EVERYTHING ELSE I would recommend them to expand their menu and add KALBI. Dominicans and ALL would love it! I am from GUAM, U.S.A. (4 hour flight from Seoul, Korea) and we LOVE Korean Food... I found this spot so randomly and was my last dinner in Santo Domingo. I totally recommend this place for Korean food lovers like me. Definitely coming again!

A curious little place, a house in a residential area and very easy to miss if you are not looking for it. Parking is on the street and limited. Once you enter, the restaurant is much larger than it appears from the street and is plainly decorated except for some rater ornate plaster work and columns. The food however is far from plain, with a good range of Korean staples. Another curiosity is that there are no starters on the menu, instead with every main dish, comes a large platter of mixed starters. These are light, mainly vegetables, including kimchi and are a delicious way to start the meal. The main dishes were very good and the service attentive. An excellent surprise was the bill, with more than reasonable prices. Overall a very good...
