A group of friends from Peru invited us to celebrate Thanksgiving with them at this restaurant. The restaurant has a new name (no longer Machu Picchu) but it still serves great Peruvian food. We arrived early so we sat outside on the elevated terrace area. This overlooks a main road, and it was rush hour, but it was still a pleasant place to sit. We had a Peruvian beer and a Pisco Sour cocktail which contains brandy, lime juice, and a raw egg - whisked to a froth. Once our friends arrived we moved inside. Our friends ordered traditional Peruvian Thanksgiving meals - which were quite similar to a US Thanksgiving meal. Apparently the tradition of Thanksgiving spread from US to Peru. My wife and I wanted to try Peruvian food and our friends recommended ceviche and a fried seafood platter. The FOOD WAS GREAT. SERVICE was very good.
