Buffet Vegetariano Buda "News Thai" — Restaurant in Guayaquil

The food looked really good, but the flavor was bad. Curry chicken was overseasoned, noodles were bland and tasteless, chicken wing tasted like salt water, the zapallo cake was great considering I don't like zapallo and the fried banana was not what I was expecting. It was good but I thought it would be like Ecuadorian fried plantain. Even the juice was bad. The place looks cool but seems as it had identity issues. On one hand they have this fancy Asian decor and then they got cumbia and bachata on the background. The food itself doesn't seem Thai, but more like general Asian food...overly seasoned...

Terrible service. The waitresses were not nice at all. We were two people and we ordered two main dishes each; the second dish came 20 minutes after the first one.

The waitress messed up our desert order, and then she was very rude about it saying no, it was me who ordered the thing I didn't actually order...only to realize a few minutes later that it WAS their mistake.

No one who works there ever smiles, not even to return a smile which was bizarre.

They have a good selection of vegan and vegetarian items. If you have any specific dietary needs, ask about the ingredients that go into the different dishes as they are not labeled.

This is more like a variety of East Asian dishes and other inspired on Asian foods. This is not an authentic Thai restaurant.
