Sabai Sabai city stars. سباي سباي — Restaurant in Cairo

I am American women living in Egypt and I rate this place a -1 horrible. The service was bad and so was the food. I took my daughter there to eat at the Restaurant in City Stars and we were made to wait for hours in spite their restaurant being nearly empty there was two other people there. The waiters were not friendly at all and when we finally did get our food. I order the duck which was not good at all tasted like it had been warmed in the microwave and was not fresh when i bite into it meat was cold and sauce was lukewarm .. My daughter ordered a Thai dish wish vegetable's and rice they were old soggy some even spoiled . Then when they brought us our drinks the glasses they brought us had a chips on the side . The glasses were broken on the side. I nearly cut my lip from this and I found a fly in my drink and when I ask for another the waiter brought it but they still charge me for an extra drink. I payed well over 1000 in egyptian pounds and we could not eat any of this food Then when the waiter brought the bill..I was short 50 piasters egyptian and you know the waiter had the nerve to complain. I dont recommend going to this place . The food was horrible not eatable and staff were terrible. The prices was was to much and the food was not fresh a fly was in my drink the hygiene bad. I will never eat at this place again. This...

The food was really good. We had the thai green curry with shrimps, it was very aromatic, coconuty from the coconut milk and it had a very small portion of some crunchy veg and plump shrimps that were perfectly cooked, we had that with a side of jasmine rice. We also had the green papaya salad which was super balanced in flavor. My least favorite was the pad Thai it was good but the chicken was a little chickeny and not in a good way 😅 but the noodles were perfectly cooked and well seasoned. Almost forgot desert we ordered mango coconut sticky rice it was heavenly we didnt leave a grain of rice😋😋😋 The only thing I really disliked were the waiters they are old, a bit rude, don't know anything about the menu or Thai food so don't ask them for any help when it comes to recommending any dishes🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️ I also didn't like how small the portions were considering their prices...

We wanted to try Thai food in Egypt so decided to eat here at the City center mall. Place was neat and clean. We took 5 min to place our order with a starter. We were hoping it would come fast but did not. Came 2 min before the main course. Waiting time for food was 20 min. Food was ok. Quantity and portion size was very small compared to other thai restaurants. We had to order 2 extra sticky rice. That came 8 min later. And it was even smaller than the usual white rice. We giggled so hard. It looked like smooshy rice for a 1yr+ old. The servers were nice. They should be more friendly and warm towards the customers. They seemed to stiff and focused on taking the plates. At one stage they wanted to take the starter plate with the salad still on it....
