I recently stayed at Holiday Inn City Stars Hotel for three nights during a business trip in November. Here's my detailed review: Positive Aspects Location: The hotel is excellently located in City Stars Mall, which is highly convenient for shopping, dining, and entertainment. Room: While the room was small, it was sufficient for one person. It was also clean and tidy. Breakfast: The breakfast spread was delicious and diverse. The omelets, in particular, were a highlight and very well-prepared. Areas for Improvement Room Amenities: The room lacked basic amenities expected in a 5-star hotel, such as slippers, a bathrobe, or toiletries beyond soap and shampoo. Despite requesting slippers and the mini-bar to be emptied three times, it took hotel staff over five hours to fulfill these simple requests, which was frustrating and unprofessional. Mini-Bar Setup: Snacks were placed on a table under the TV as part of the mini-bar, with extremely high prices. This setup is impractical, especially for families with kids, and not something I've encountered elsewhere. Door Lock: The door lock had been removed, with remnants of it still visible on the door. This was odd and raised concerns about security and maintenance. Electricity Key Misuse: The hotel uses card keys in electricity slots to conserve energy. However, they leave the cards in the slots permanently, which defeats the purpose. Lighting Controls: The room design felt outdated. You can't switch off all the lights from the bed, requiring you to turn them off individually—a small but inconvenient detail. Overall Experience The hotel has some strong points, such as its prime location and quality breakfast, but it falls short of the standard 5-star experience. With small rooms, limited amenities, delayed service, and outdated designs, the stay was average at best and below expectations for this category of hotel. Would I return? Perhaps for the location, but I’d explore other options first.

Overall Rank 2/5 Why its only 2 ? The simple answer is the staff, management and its not kids friendly. Is there good things, yes of course. 1. City stars 2. Parking prices 3. Wifi 4. Location This was a quick review for anyone wants to have a glance. Detailed review: I came to holidayinn 2x in 2 consecutive weeks. 1st time was me and my wife. It was a good stay overall. Breakfast was good (7/10). Wifi is very good. Parking was good. Room is quite but small overall. And the idea that we can go to city stars without moving with the car was a great option. So we decided to come again with our kids the next week. And here was the disaster, the hotel policy is against giving u an extra bed or even a mattress for the kids !!! Btw they are 3 & 4 years old, and u will be given the option to either upgrade the room to triple room or u can all sleep in one bed 😅 After explaining that on your website it says the complete opposite of that and why do u dont want to just send us a mattress, they answered that simply its our policy. We asked for escalation to the management; Mr. Ibrahim Abdelfattah, the deputy manager said no we can’t. And we were left with the option to all sleep on the same bed !!! As well they gave us a room that is near the pools heater which made a lot of noise at night, however, it was bearable. Each time we wanted anything from the house keeping, for example extra pillows, they took ages and multiple calls to send it. As well, the stuff and the chefs at breakfast are either unprofessional, like spilling the eggs while cooking or giving u the attitude that they are angry or not willing to happily help. Yes they will help and they are giving u the feeling that they are angry, if you know what I mean. Overall, this hotel is good if ur coming alone or as a couple, however, as a family, check other options if available. Thanks for reading so far, hope this review will help u decided.

A fine hotel adjacent to the Cairo CityStars Shopping Mall; a mall that was once considered the largest shopping mall in Africa. The hotel itself seems quite old, yet quite maintained. They have plenty of rooms; both smoking and non-smoking. The hotel has a small yet cozy lobby. The hotel also has a gym and an outdoor swimming pool. They have an international buffet restaurant, an Indian restaurant, and a cafe on-site. Some notes for a improvement and consideration: * The room I got was in a good condition, yet the mattress needs a change. * The ventilation system could be improved with a new system. * Despite arriving at 2.30 PM (30 minutes before check-in eligibility), I got my room 1 hour after arriving. For my IHG membership, they should have done better. * The gym equipment needs maintenance, and some equipment needs replacement. * For the hefty accommodation fee I paid, I would have expected a much much much better experience. I would still consider staying at this hotel in the future if needed, hoping my above comments are taken into consideration. I look forward to increasing my rating next time.

Title: A Memorable Stay at Holiday Inn Cairo Hotel

Rating: ★★★★★ (5/5)

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Holiday Inn Cairo Hotel during my visit to Egypt, and I must say it exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I arrived until the day of my departure, every aspect of my stay was exceptional.

First and foremost, the hotel's location is fantastic. Situated in the heart of Cairo, it offers easy access to major attractions such as the Pyramids of Giza, Egyptian Museum, and Khan El Khalili Bazaar. Additionally, being close to public transportation made exploring the city hassle-free.

The staff at Holiday Inn Cairo Hotel truly went above and beyond to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable stay. From check-in to check-out, their warm hospitality was evident. The front desk staff was friendly and efficient, always ready to assist with any inquiries or requests. The housekeeping team maintained impeccable cleanliness throughout the hotel, ensuring a pleasant environment.

The rooms were spacious, well-appointed, and tastefully decorated. The comfortable beds provided a restful night's sleep after a long day of sightseeing. The amenities provided in each room were top-notch, including a flat-screen TV with international channels, complimentary Wi-Fi access, and a well-stocked minibar.

One highlight of my stay was dining at the hotel's restaurants. The breakfast buffet offered an extensive selection of delicious dishes catering to various tastes and dietary preferences. Whether you preferred traditional Egyptian cuisine or international favorites, there was something for everyone. The attentive waitstaff ensured that every meal was an enjoyable experience.

The hotel also boasts excellent leisure facilities. The rooftop swimming pool offered breathtaking views of Cairo's skyline while providing a refreshing escape from the bustling city below. Additionally, the fitness center was well-equipped with modern machines for those looking to maintain their workout routine during their stay.

Overall, my experience at Holiday Inn Cairo Hotel was nothing short of exceptional. The combination of its prime location, attentive staff, comfortable rooms, and excellent dining options made my visit to Cairo truly memorable. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a delightful stay in the heart of Egypt's vibrant...

Not the Start I Expected from a Five Star Hotel

Unfortunately, my stay began on a disappointing note due to a very poor check in experience. While the hotel itself is impressive, modern, clean, and directly connected to the large Citystars Mall, the initial interaction left a lasting negative impression.

When I arrived, I was welcomed by a very helpful and polite check in clerk who processed my check in without asking for payment. There had been an issue with the payment link from our company, but she assured me that the payment could be taken at check out. She also took my passport details, which should have been more than sufficient if any issue arose.

Shortly after, my colleagues arrived and were told they could not check in due to the same payment issue. I explained that I had already been checked in, but the other clerk, who appeared more senior, became visibly agitated. He began to reprimand the staff member who had checked me in, right in front of us. This was extremely unprofessional and frankly unacceptable. We explained that if the company did not pay, we would personally settle the bill. Only then did he agree to proceed, but I asked why my verbal confirmation made any difference to the hotel policy. He had no answer.

To make matters worse, the way he addressed his colleague was completely inappropriate. She was calm and courteous throughout, and his attitude came across as dismissive and confrontational. It was uncomfortable to witness, especially considering that he was publicly scolding a female colleague in front of guests.

These are the situations that separate good hotels from great ones. Unfortunately, this hotel clearly does not have what it takes to be great.

The customer service in this instance was far below the standard I would expect from a five star hotel. I have travelled extensively and stayed in many hotels around the world, and this was by far the worst check in experience I have ever had.

That said, the hotel facilities are excellent. The rooms are well maintained, the hotel is clean and modern, and the breakfast was very good. However, the damage was already done. First impressions matter, and this one completely overshadowed the...

This is a very nice and well run Holiday Inn and I would rate it to be amongst the very best I have been too. Before coming to this Hotel, I messaged them and asked a few questions, I received an immediate and pleasant response that they were happy to assist. I want to give a special mention to Karim who is an absolute delight. The duty managers, and reception team are all brilliant they communicate well and just made me feel good about staying at this hotel.

On entering the lobby area through a good but non intrusive security screening, you will find it very spacious and inviting, it's Cozy and homey. Attached to the Citystars shopping mega mall you have everything you could possibly want. The wonderful front office staff who are all lovely and pleasant gave us a very warm welcome on arrival, it was perfect and we were greeted as a valued Spire Elite IHG rewards club member.

The rooms are fabulous, large and roomy with everything you could need, on entering you see the bright and lovely new and refurbished interiors, some of the nicest beds you'll find with the famous Holiday Inn pillow menu that you may request your favourite pillow type. A great bathroom and all the amenities you could need. Keep in mind this is not a 5 star Hotel, but they behave as it is, so my point Is, that it’s all well above expectations.

Its all marvellous the staff are some of the most friendly you can find. Near the business center and on the wonderfully modernized restaurant area and cafe and you'll have plenty of lounges. This whole area gives you a great sense of being in a home. In the restaurant It's obvious one can start with an amazing breakfast, the greeting lovely, the service superb and the food selection is great. There is mostly everything to suit most tastes from pancakes, egg station so you may have eggs cooked to your desire by very nice and competent chefs. and a good variety of other delights, fruits, cold cut meats cheeses and much much more the staff are all very helpful in the breakfast area and very nice and if something runs out just ask nicely and they are more than happy to get it.

This is a lovely hotel with a nice team and I highly...
