The Lemon Tree & Co. One Ninety — Restaurant in Cairo

We had a terrible reservation experience at Lemon Tree one ninety, We booked through the app and someone called us to confirm our appointment in the day of the reservation.

We booked a table for two but he kept insisting that we booked a place on the bar which is impossible as we were celebrating our anniversary!! He said that he will call us again after sometime and he didn’t mention any details!!

Then we started to get ready and in our way to the restaurant we received a call from the same guy confirming the table, we told him that we are already in our way.

Then when we arrived another guy who was at the reception told us that our reservation again was for two on the bar!!! I was going to have a fight with him but after insisting that we won’t be leaving without a table he said to us “Okay but you have to leave the table by 10 Pm because i need it for other guests”. 10 PM is after one hour for god sake!! I don’t have any idea how i stayed cool but i told him that i won’t leave till this restaurant is closed and then again he said okay and he offered an outdoor Table.

Then we asked why an outdoor table while all the restaurant is literally empty! He said that all other guests have already made their preferences to stay indoor and there is no place available!!!

The management for this place doesn’t have a clue about hospitality or rather decency. They don’t know how to speak with a customer.

If you are a hotshot only or a famous nobody you can only go there because you would be recognized and treated differently, other than that the treatment is much worse than KFC.

Will never go back to this absolutely...

Immediaty After I booked, I checked the Google reviews and I was a little worried bevause of the abundance of negative reviews. I thought i made a mistake, however after going there myself with friends last night [October 6], we were super impressed.

The architectural design is superb. For those critics in the reviews below, haven't you guys heard about art nouveau architecture ???.. one more really nice thing about the place is the mix of Art and architecture seamlessly, but the icing on the cake which makes this place truly outshines the competition t is the layout. Tables are spaced wide apart and not congested. Contrary to other up-scale restaurants in Cairo, there is ample space between each table and the next.

Food : The food was superb. I noticed they changed the menu and are using weird names, but the taste is outstanding and the desert as well was out of this world.

Beverages : Alcoholic cocktails were excellent 👌 but non-alcoholic beverages were subpar. This is the only downside or the only complaint we had.

Music : The choice of music was good especially with the introduction of more Arabic songs towrds the end of the night, and it wasn't that noisy either. We could listen to each others conversations easily.

The waiters were perfect. Our waiter (Mamdouh) was extremely helpful and super polite.

Please note that the restaurant policy is credit card only. They no longer accept cash except for tips.

Hey Just had the worst experience in fine dining today at your restaurant Seriously people don’t know how to manage situations very last minute notice that today well be different and dry (which I don’t mind by the way) but the place was almost empty with no Eid vibes at all Fancy place with a very very cheap staff attitude Ppl just try to begging you for money starting with the very uncomfortable situation parking our car normally and someone appears from no where to open my door even without my permission or acceptance And I wasn’t ready to go out of my car with a clear violation to my privacy and the same thing happened coming back to the car even after my ask from him to keep distance and telling him that I don’t need help opening my door as I already have a gentleman helping they really made sure running the moment

Going to a very rude uninterested staff to help in there Like we was dealing with someone called abdelfatah He was really nice and out of nowhere no one is helping us We have to wait any one from the staff that were clustered in one place to move and see us to bring water And one of them came very angry took from him 3 times to bring the right bottle of water seriously?! Then he was angry and spelt some of the water on the phone but the bottle aggressively and left No one helped us to refill water even when they saw us trying to reach it And it took sometime to even ask for the ice !!!!!!!!!!!

What is this seriously The place was almost empty and they don’t see the three to four...
