Ni café - 5A by The Waterway — Restaurant in Cairo

I'm at loss of words at how horrible my experience was. Service and sequence of service is beyond horrible. First, they brought us the salads together (which was great), but then they got us the main dishes one by one with an interval of more than 10 mins of difference between the delivery of every main dish to our table, which made the first and second delivered dishes very cold and even more tasteless. Food in general was very bad; the salads were lame-no dressing and no taste, presentation was so so so poor. The pizza and friend chicken were okay, still lacking flavor. The pesto pasta with Salmon was overcooked, super creamy and the salmon wasn't fresh. The stir fry beef with noodles was extremely salty. We asked them to redo it, this took about another 25 mins to fix. The olive oil presented on the table was of very bad taste and weird super super yellow color. Tab3an price is WAY expensive and definitely not worth it. The staff were friendly though and responsive (hence the 2 star rating) but still,...

The food was decent I tried the garden salad, it had raw zucchini which was unpleasant, the eggplant was grilled and the rest of the ingredients were greens and a few cherry tomatoes, the dressing was okay yet overall I wouldn’t recommend this salad, disappointing. The noodles were great! The protein portion is very very tiny making the price a bit unreasonable, the shrimp wok had exactly 4 shrimps, the chicken wok had just those shown jn the picture and the beef wok had 3 very thin slices, the flavor is great but increasing the protein portion would definitely improve the plate The crepe had amazing feedback from my friends they rated it as a 10/10 so it’s definitely worth a try I would visit the place again and try other stuff than salad The service is slow, the staff are not really helpful, we had to call for them 3 times to just place an order, we had 2 wrong plates that we didn’t order come to our table but they’re professional...

The restaurant atmosphere is good as overall. The main course was served before the appetizer. Mojitos are not recommended as you ask for anything, which will not be served to you. (We asked for wifi password & some lemon for the food). No one went back to us.

Once the manager was informed about all the comments. He just ask us to change the Mojito which was change as it was served from the first time.

One more thing to mention. The waiters suppose to know how to handle the situation like the customers requests & they have to improve their skills (it happened many times while we were there, either a plate or cutlery will fall down that will disturb the customers & distract them.

The restaurant needs much more improvement in the food quality & service....
