Tandoor El Gouna: A feast for the senses with excellent service

My visit to the Tandoor Restaurant in El Gouna was an absolute highlight of my vacation. As soon as I entered the restaurant, I was enveloped by the warm atmosphere and inviting aromas of Indian cuisine. The ambience is stylish and modern without losing any of its coziness.

The service was outstanding. Our waiter Kero was not only friendly and attentive, but also knew the menu inside and out and was able to give us perfect advice on choosing the dishes. He took time for our questions and requests and made sure that we felt completely at home.

The food was simply delicious! We ordered various tandoori dishes, all of which were freshly prepared and aromatically seasoned. The meat was tender and juicy, the vegetables were crunchy and the naan bread was fluffy and warm. I particularly enjoyed the chicken tikka masala and the palak paneer.

Kero's recommendations were perfect and rounded off our culinary experience. He also served us a delicious mango lassi, which was the perfect dessert to go with our meal.

Conclusion: The Tandoor Restaurant in El Gouna is an absolute must for all lovers of Indian cuisine. The outstanding cuisine, excellent service and beautiful ambience make this restaurant an unforgettable experience. A big compliment goes to Kero, who contributed significantly to our perfect evening with his friendliness and competence.

One of the baddest restaurants ever .. firstly I called for a food delivery and they said we don’t deliver and that is fine then I asked if I can order and come collect this myself and they said yeah that’s fine .. ordered an Uber and travelled from Hurghada 19 km to elgouna and I found out on the gate that they didn’t let me in, contacted the restaurant but they didn’t do anything so I asked “ why did u said yes if you can’t let me in to take my order ?! “ Their justification was “ we didn’t know “ I answered how can’t u know !!!!! They said we’ll send you someone to the gates with ur order in 15 mins I had to wait with the Uber more fees .. asked them to bring machine for paying via card .. the transaction was printed but it was declined so I didn’t get any sms of conforming so I called the guy to come back to redo it and it was success but without printing .. ordered for other Uber and time for me to leave but was the shock .. the guy didn’t want to leave till he gets a receipt from his own machine and that was entirely insane And shocking for me !!!!! .. forced me to wait till someone else arrives after 12 mins and that one wanted me to put The card again to redo the transaction but I refused and I showed him how to check it .. completely ignorants and useless staff and restaurant .. doesn’t recommend for...

We've come here to EL Gouna for a nice holiday and break, and fancied a nice Indian meal, we came across this place near the marina, and what a find.

Starters were brilliant, very north Indian, mains were equally nice, however I couldn't quite place the regional variation of the dish, but still tasted nice and spicy. We also had dam chicken birynani, which was very tasty and the portion was huge probably enough for 2 people.

My only criticism was the nan, we had 2 garlic and 1 plain, they were very thin and sort of on the verge of poppadoms, maybe a note for the chef is thicken them up.

We also had rum chai cocktails, these were nice and finished the meal with some nice Indian massala chai.

The chef Mr Vijay Singh from Delhi came out to meet us and had a bit of a general chit chat, very nice person and very accommodating to our requirements. Other waiters there were all very attentive and friendly, especially Samesame.
