Sapore Restaurant — Restaurant in Addis Ababa

The food was really under my expectation, first of all the main reason I went to this restaurant was because of the gluten free pizza option, but when we arrived there, turns out they do not offer it. We proceeded to order something because we came from a far and hadn't eaten lunch, so I ordered a chicken pizza with cheese and the other two dishes were Alfredo pasta and a salad. My sibling ordered the salad because they realized that they do not offer an appetizer (red flag) because the food took us long to be served. And while I was eating my pizza I noticed there was a small piece of hair it was more like a one strand of eyelash hair in the mozzarella pizza, and the pizza was also gooey at that point I was disgusted and my appetite had gone and the Alfredo pizza felt like a soup and the salad was dry the only thing that was offered with the salad was a mustard sauce and it was hot and uncomplimentary at all, the place looked better than...

We rolled up a bit late and the place was still packed! We actually had to wait for someone to get up just to snag a seat.

We were a group of five, so we ordered five main dishes. The wait for the food felt a little long. They brought us some appetizers, but literally right before the mains showed up, which kind of defeated the purpose, lol.

Now for the food breakdown: I really enjoyed the chicken pizza and the four cheese pizza, they were a hit. The lasagna was just okay (a bit "meh"), but the chicken Alfredo was unfortunately a miss. It was overcooked and really needed more flavor.

Portions were good, though! Overall, it was a decent experience. I'd definitely come back if I was in the area, but I wouldn't make a special trip...

Really delicious tasting pasta and lasagna. I enjoyed the flavor of the tomato pasta that came with the fish order quite a bit.

The outdoor seating is right next to a busy road, so we opted to sit inside on the second floor instead.

The Nile perch was supposed to be grilled, but was breaded and fried instead. It was still fine; but the breading was a little thick.

Overall I enjoyed the food and would come back to try more pasta...
