You just pay for the juice and ambiance.

After seeing what Addis has to offer in this price range, I wouldn’t call the foods here the best. Don’t get me wrong it’s not bad it’s just okay. the taste of the food is bland like the ingredients they used cancelled each other out and you put it in your mouth and go “huh that could be better. I don’t know what they’d use to make it better cause I’m not a chef but it could be better” the roasted potatoes looks like they didn’t want to waste time frying them but they didn’t want waste time roasting them either. The salad is a joke too

But they don’t mess around when it comes to juices. It’s not that sugar filled sludge of a juice you get here. On the three different occasions I drank their juice it was always on point.

The other good thing they have going is the place. It’s like an oasis in the middle of bole that’s not on a building or just a flat ground and a house like Angla burger. The garden looks good and the inside of the house is appetizing to look at.

Went there around 7pm, there were a couple of cars in the compound and 2 tables occupied in the outdoor area. We got inside the house and one table was occupied but no attendant in sight, so we looked around the house in every room but no waiter... so we sat for about 10minutes suspiciously, then came the waiter, and we ordered. I have probably eaten at Umami about 700 times. And all I can say, is that this place has consistently gotten worse. The service baffles me. The food is just ???? I have given this place 3 stars (even though it’s currently only worth 1.5) because I used to love this place and I feel that should not be forgotten.
