The setting is great, and the food was good. But the service was the worst we’ve experienced in a while.

We were suggested to order an appetizer, as we were told the main dish would take a while. Fair enough — it was a whole grilled fish. So we ordered an appetizer even though didn’t plan to order it in the first place.

We were seated at a nice water front table that was also next to the kitchen window, where orders were being delivered. So everything was happening upfront of us. Several servers looked over at us and then spoke to each other. Forty minutes later, someone finally asked if we had received our appetizer — we hadn’t.

About five minutes later, I saw my fish being placed in the window, ready to be brought to our table. A server was about to grab it but suddenly seemed to remember the appetizer. I then watched as they quickly assembled it in about 20 seconds. She brought it to our table, and immediately after placing it down, she returned with the fish, which had been sitting there for several minutes.

I’m not upset that they forgot the appetizer — that happens. It’s the way they tried to cover it up that bothered me. I asked them to take it back since we didn’t want it anymore, and they did.

After that, no one checked on our water — we had none. They took my empty beer glass without asking if I wanted another one.

When we were finishing our food, one server offered to bring a complimentary ice cream for our daughter. We politely declined, as it was late and she was ready for bed. A second server came few minutes later and offered the same thing — again, we declined. As we were getting ready to leave, a third server brought a bowl of ice cream to our table anyway.

I’m not sure if the team is new or if the manager is on vacation, but it felt like every person was just doing their own thing. They didn’t seem to be getting along with each...

From the moment we stepped into Byblos, we knew we were in for a treat. The ambiance of the restaurant immediately set a welcoming tone, but what truly made our experience unforgettable were the people.

Firstly, Wani, our attendant, was remarkably helpful. She was attentive, ensuring that our dining experience was nothing short of perfect. Her recommendations were spot-on, making our meal even more enjoyable.

The culinary delights prepared by Chef Abass were simply out of this world. It's not every day you come across a chef who can truly transform ingredients into an extraordinary symphony of flavors. Chef Abass is an amazing cook, and his passion for food was evident in every dish we had the pleasure of tasting.

What truly set our experience apart, however, was the exceptional customer service provided by Charles, the manager. His friendliness and dedication to ensuring guest satisfaction were unparalleled. We were staying at the Sheraton, but Charles, with his above and beyond approach to customer service, convinced us to stay at the Radisson Blu during our next visit. His actions spoke volumes about the kind of establishment Byblos is – one that truly values and takes care of its customers.

In conclusion, Byblos isn't just a restaurant; it's an experience - one that is elevated by its incredible staff. Wani, Chef Abass, and especially Charles, the manager, have made us lifelong patrons. We highly recommend Byblos to anyone looking for an exceptional dining experience. It's not just the food that will bring us back, but the warmth and professionalism of the staff. Thank you, Byblos, for such a...

Quick Review: OVERPRICED, OVERCOOKED, OVER-RATED. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

Before we get to the review, how much do you think a potato for a 8 month old baby should cost? We'll circle back to this - keep your number in mind.

An absolutely disgusting tourist trap of a restaurant. Byblos pioneers in overpriced, overcooked and overtime food designed to gouge every last dollar from your wallet while delivering below average food you could easily make at home.

A mixed grill and Byblos grill compromised of overcooked meats, a sad tiny salad and soggy limp pita bread with some onion filling. The meats, which took 1 hour from time of order to come out were completely overcooked.

The beef was tough and chewy and the moisture had left the chicken long ago much like the human decency of the board of directors who set prices for this tragedy of a restaurant.

For 4 people and a baby our total came to $250 for 3 meals (not 4) and drinks, 2 of which were Coke no sugars for $9ea. What did the baby eat? Just 1 simple potato.

So how much for a potato? For an 8 month old, no butter, no salt and pepper, no toppings of any kind. $11... $11!! For 1 single plain potato no bigger than a round 5 cm..

If there was a 0 rating this place would earn it but it's gets a 1 which we'll give for the great views and friendly staff at least. Your paying for that, not the food or anything else.

Avoid at all costs and head to the marina, far better choices for food and...

Bula! Before I get started, just know I’m a local Fijian. So me and my partner went to have dinner. We were very hyped after seeing all the menu and pics and hype. First ordered Hot mezza - chicken jawaneh $21 *it’s supposed to be a 5 piece chicken wing but since the size of the wings is small they gave an bowel full of wings. Still not worth $21 Mains - lamb kofta and Samke harra whole fish ( fish of the day ) * lamb kofta (mince lamb kebab) was fatty and cold and left a fatty after feeling in the mouth * fish of the day was TILAPIA was just AWFUL. Even google says it I’ve a very bad and bitter taste then why would you use that? We didn’t know that we were getting served that until we started eating. All we knew that it’s the fish of the day and almost $50 so it had to be nice but it was the worst thing ever. We eat fish almost every week and I have never tasted a bitter and awful tasting fish. I don’t understand that why would you serve that? Anyway so we told the staff and they were very nice and offer us to get something else but we were very out off and we just couldn’t wait to get away. They did give us complimentary dessert ( Baklava) which was nice We paid over $120 for a meal which would have costed us atleast $50 somewhere outside. Overall experience - the staff are super friendly and nice and give a happy vibe but the food isn’t as nice for the price

If there was negative marking I would have given it. First of all the wait times are more than 30 mins. So be prepared. Even though the restaurant wasn’t busy. Took 45 mins for our food. We were six people. Ordered mix grill. 77$ and the food was bare minimum. Plus the presentation was useless. How can this be a close to a 5 star restaurant - with pathetic presentation. The chicken shish kebab is 15 $ with 4 to 5 prices of meat.. lamb shish was 23$!!!!! Once again useless Chicken liver was good at 21$ and the Six chicken wings were 23$ Plz avoid.. mock tail pitcher at 19$. Although the drink was just soda water plus concentrate - so not really worth it. I’d suggest avoiding all restaurants of the Denarau island resorts. Completely useless. If you can take a taxi and try the outside restaurants. But one will need a taxi for in and out unless happy to go on bus. (Takes 30 mins one way)
