AWE INSPIRING AMBIANCE, DELICIOUS FOOD and PLEASANT SERVERS!

I always stay in Hilton Strand when I am in Helsinki and its natural that I had chance to try this place on multiple on occasions. Needless to say that the consistency in terms of food quality and service is remarkable.

Ambiance: The location of this Hilton is right by the pier so it goes without saying that its beautifully located. The restaurant is beautifully done with brand new decor, hip seating styling (some overlooking the water) , stylish and industrious bar area and Beautiful fire place in the middle of the room makes dining in this restaurant a delight. Outside seating overlooking the never ending mid night summer sunsets are also available.

Food & Service: The servers are very friendly and informative and service is quiet fast. I ordered Mushroom risotto and boy, it was the most delicious risotto I have ever had. The variety of mushrooms was well chosen, Ingredients were really fresh and that baked goat cheese on top was just cherry on the top. I asked for red wine pairing with that and the server bought me a spicy Spain Merlot which was perfect pairing.

The restaurant is easily accessible from the underground garage. It’s stylish, cozy, and has a sea view. Upon arrival, we were ignored for a couple of minutes, although we’ve been seen by the staff. The food comes in 25 minutes, and there are only two more tables served before us. One pizza is very delicious, while the other one (for kids), is very salty. The risotto was a little too sour, and the fish was cooked for too long and became very dry. All kids' dishes are coming with complimentary juice and ice cream. Our son has never been asked or offered. Additional scampi was charged 9€, but on the online menu is 5€. At the same time, a reception for about 20 people is held on the same premises. All you can hear now are the loud conversations between guests and no music in the background. When asking for the check, we are again ignored.

This was a sad experience and, unfortunately, the sea view and the fancy name won’t...

My family of four was tired (and cold) and we decided to forgo our original dinner plans and just dine at the hotel since this is in the Hilton Strand. It was the most unexpected dining experience I've had at an on-site restaurant. Our server, Anu, was absolutely incredible. The attention she gave to my young boys was so attentive and sweet - she made it very special for them...which means we all had a lovely dinner. The food was great - I had the pasta arrabbiata and my husband had the reindeer. I would definitely recommend this to anyone - especially those staying...
