Flying Dutch — Restaurant in Helsinki sub-region

Other patrons were obnoxiously drunk and quite rude to me and the little dog because I pulled him away from drinking some vodka spilled on the steps by a sloppy drunk gentleman. Then a rude drunk woman began to yell at me for mistreating the dog. As I stood there listening to this unpleasant woman rail at me I was reminded why I do not frequent bars. Then a drunk man almost fell on the poor dog.

I wish there were more dog friendly outdoor and indoor pubs in Kallio and fewer unpleasant drunks in general but I do appreciate the concept of the Flying Dutchman combined with Van Gogh's talents and reputation....

Very nice bar for the summer time. I visited this place one time. It is self service and the staff were okay. The card reader wouldn't accept my debit card which has never happened to me before. Flying Dutch is very nice. Atmosphere on the boat is very calm and inviting. The food is good and filling. Beers are cold and invigorating. Wine is good. Clearly recommend this for drinks and simple bar food with friends. One of the nicest settings in Helsinki just by the Kaisaniemi park and close Hakaniemi Tori metro...
