Ravintola Kirkuk — Restaurant in Helsinki sub-region

I would not recommend anyone to eat here and I kind of sensed it before I order. Food was not enjoyable in taste and Luke warm. Dishes were not served together, which is kind of the idea of going to a restaurant with friends, to eat together. Usually in these kind of restaurants service is very friendly, but here it feel like a fastfood restaurant in a train station. I had lamb and chicken skewers. The whole meal was dry and without the typical taste of spices. Some of the chicken pieces were RAW on the inside, which is an absolute health hazard risking to get salmonella. I told the staff about it and their reaction was zero. No sorry, no offering of serve a new scewer or retuning part of the money. Asking 18€ for this quality of food is an absolute joke. My friends had falafel, which were not homemade, but from the freezer. No hummus or any sauces served with any dish. Coming from Germany I have been to many good Arabic and Turkish restaurants, but this was absolutely the worse I have alever been to. If you don't cook food with any interest of quality, don't bother to cook at all. And do not sell it to customers. The ambient in the restaurant is as bad as the food. I have been to this restaurant a few times over the years when I visit Finland. Although a bit pricy, it’s standard restaurant prices similar to what u would find in London.

The mixed grill with bread was quite nice and filling. You also get free soup as many as u like and can help urself to salad as well as yogurt drink.

The fresh strawberry juice is also amazing and the Shisha is ok although they could offer more flavours.

Just one thing the management needs to handle ASAP. Me and a friend spotted a big rat inside the restaurant. They need to contact pest control & deal with that as a previous review from a month ago mentioned...

Not a bad place to eat. The chicken shawarma was pretty good, although the chicken had an eh aftertaste. Despite that, I ate well. The only things I hate about this place is how it gets pretty hot in here. Plus, there's no cold water to cool down with. There's water, but it's lukewarm. Other than that, this place has a nice atmosphere and the music is nice. Almost like I'm in Morocco. The tea is really good. The staff behavior would need some work.
