Speakeasy Itäkeskus — Restaurant in Helsinki sub-region

Ordered through Wolt. Food arrived cold and soggy, with the snacks just thrown on top of the fries and no separate box. Sauces were cramped on top of the 2 food boxes, of which 1 was actually crushed and spilling all over the boxes. They just throw some fries and snacks in their fryer and then cram them into 1 box.

Wolt claims to have contacted them after we sent them pictures of this debacle, and the restaurant apparently was adamant everything was according to their quality standards and no refund or even middle ground was offered. A good restaurant always tries to meet you somewhere half way, so they are probably having customers complain very often and they now just stone-wall everyone.

I've ordered quite a lot the past year via Wolt, and this is probably the worst restaurant I've ever had the displeasure of receiving its "food"...

Horrible customer service. Girls working there looks like they are forced to work, no customer service skills at all. We arrived and didn’t know much about “syö viikot” deals, so we asked. The waitress just replied in a rude tone “you can see there’s the list” and pointed the list. We had to ask everything, doesn’t even mention that the salad buffet next to the counter includes. Just after that, middle age Finnish couple arrived and they got the nicest customer service. 0-100, smiles on the face and treating them like a superiors. It makes me think, are they treat certain group better because they are most likely to leave a review or what is the idea?

Employees need more training and treating all customers equally.

After having fond memories from my 7 years in Tampere visiting Speakeasy's branches, I recently decided to try the Itis branch. Regrettably, my experience didn't meet the expectations set by past visits. I couldn't tell whether the recipes had changed or the management had switched hands, but there was a noticeable decline in the food quality.

To make matters worse, the prices have inflated and the portion sizes have shrunk compared to what I was accustomed to. However, I must commend the service quality and staff who remained a positive element in my visit. It's disheartening to see such changes in a place I had so highly regarded.
