It was a memorable night, for all the wrong reasons. The worst rating would be to the atmosphere and setup and in second place to the food itself.
Knowing that the place is small, I booked a table for 2 well in advance. The table we got assigned was proped against two other couples and the entrance. The size of the table itself was around 50x50cm and it was filled with drinking glasses, silverware and 2 sets of empty wine bottles as decorations, one with a dry leaves and another with a candle dangerously close to the dry leaves and the curtain. I had to rearrange the things myself but the management should know better. This is a major risk and has caused many accidents in other restaurants. Safety is more important than any decorative trend.
It's also important to consider the table size before adding that many props that end up in the way of the customer.
It seems that the heating system was broken because despite the night was not particularly cold outside (-6) inside I was freezing.
It was a 3 course meal yet I couldn't find anything that I would like to try for appetizer, so I skipped the entry and just had pepper steak. The meat was good, but not garnishing was offered besides one undercooked potato that was rather a decoration element than meant to be eaten. For dessert I ordered carrot cake. I only had a taste of it and couldn't go through it. The pastry was dry and stale.
The service was polite and prompt, but they couldn't make it up for all the other issues such as the inexistent space between tables or the temperature.
Considering the price and the other reviews I read before, I was expecting this to be a nice experience, though I ended up leaving disappointed, cold and hungry. I definitely don't recommend...
Read moreGot the table reservation in last minutes on this autumn storm day and finally got to visit the restaurant after several years. Regardless of the awful weather, the restaurant was quite popular and had at least two servings for dinner. The sour dough bread was quite good, though the dough was not yet a decade old:) We both had three-course menu but different dishes. We liked every dish served, especially the confit pike perch starter and the steak. The texture was right to the point and the sauce was well balanced. The pike wallenbergare and potato pie were delicious as well. As the previous dishes were quite amazing, the desserts were not surprising but still above the average offered in the restaurants. We did not have alcoholic drinks this time, but the home-made juice was indeed a good choice and price wise friendly comparing to most of the restaurant. The only down side of this experience was the packed space and not efficient ventilation. We sat next to the kitchen, and caught the smell. Anyway, I am alreadly looking forward to the next...

The steak was so great! The best we've had for a long time. The goat cheese-potato rösti was also great (to be fair!) but they had used sweat potato (?). That's why I didn't like its taste. The desserts were awesome 👌 specially the parfait was heavenly. We recommend the steak and the parfait. The place was cozy and the service was so fast, respectful and efficient. The only negative point is that the price was a little bit high.
New review (15.10.2022): We went there, again! This time, when we saw the menu we thought there is nothing suitable to order. But, the food was amazing again. I liked my food more than last time.
