Saunas 3 stars, restaurant 5 stars. The sauna has tiny changing room with water on the floor so you get your socks wet. The unisex sauna lounge is small and the inclination of the floor is not adequate so dirty water stays on the floor. We tried to sweep the water out to the floor drain but didn’t really work. There is no personnel on the sauna side so dirty cups everywhere. The saunas are decent even if the once heated stove had already lost most of its heat in the evening and the space didn’t smell fresh. The other sauna worked better even if it had nothing to do with a real smoke sauna. The stove was not very hot but you got nice and moist Löyly when you poured enough water on it. The hole in the ice was good and the heated plates on the path weren’t slippery at all. The ladder was icy and slippery as it was not heated but that’s common in winter swimming and people know how to take care of themselves.
The restaurant was architecturally nice with big windows. More dim lighting would help to see out in the night time. The decor was cosy and service very friendly. We had a beetroot carpaccio that had really nice aroma of roasted pine nuts and ceviche that was a modern version of the classic but really good. My white fish main course was very good even though there was a lot of sauce- that was good though so it didn’t bother me. The beef was good too but also swimming in the sauce. The pear crème brûlée was excellent and the cheese as well. The win pairing worked...
Read moreNot the greatest sauna destination in a beautiful location. Restaurant - bar - sauna combination, in that order. Closely follows Kuuma Tampere model. Two saunas and a hole in the ice. Sauna spaces are far too small, particularly the locker room is the saddest attempt I have seen in a while.
The two saunas can manage about a ten people each. The wood burning sauna is good for steam but smells unclean. The electric sauna has unusual heating arrangement, resulting in hard to get löyly. Both saunas have ridiculously oversized ladles.
Water in the lake is cold as promised and works the best.
Didn't have the opportunity to try bar or restaurant services, which seem to have...
Read moreVery nice place with amazing views to the lake. The food was amazing (very good surprise). I would recommend saving room for the dessert (the blueberry ice cream with the rye crumble was delicious). The staff that served our table was very nice. Maybe the acoustic is not so good, and the place was feeling to noise, but the noise of laughs and conversations means that people are enjoying. Portions are relatively big, and the price/quality ratio is good. It's a shame that they didn't answer our previous emails for reservation because I would discover this place earlier. I'm looking forward to...
