Hai Long — Restaurant in Oulu sub-region

Hai Long is a well known Chinese restaurant located in the city Oulu.

As I know they basically serve 3 buffets and prices as follow. Weekdays Lunch Buffet €10.90 Weekdays Evening Buffet €13.90 Weekends Buffet €16.80

Above figures can be vary.

I have tried the weekdays Evenings Buffet and when I talked to the staff they said evening buffet mainly focus on Sushi. Moving to the food they had salads breads as usual and then sushi, noodles, beef, pork, chicken wings, battered meat , sticky rice and soup with a selection of wide range of unlimited soft drinks and detox.

Starting from the sushi I did not see a very good spread there, almost the empty spaces were there. But the remaining were tasted good. I personally liked the hot wings and the chopsuey kind of thing they served. It was really delicious. And the soup I can rate 4/5. Food were not that spicy and really delicious.

Talking about the atmosphere they have authentic Chinese restaurant vibes inside with calming music which gives you the real Chinese vibes. And the staff was very supportive and friendly. You can ask anything from them if you are not sure about what you are going to serve.

As I heard their lunch buffet is better than any other . Worth giving a try, highly recommend if you are an Asian...

Overpriced bad food and staff behaviour is not professional at all. I have been there a couple of times and each time my experience was bad. So I can write a deatiled review so that it can be helpful for others. First time, I was there for a dinner and the owner snatched a plate from my hands just for taking wrong salad (although it was just corn). Second time, stone was found in my food and it was takeaway order so I had to throw all the food. Then the last time, they gave me the wrong food and instead of accepting their mistake, they argued in a bad way continuosly that's why I won't ever go there again. Apart from that, The owner don't accept any kind of feedback from the customer and don't accept their mistake at all. Staff and mainly Owner is so rude and unprofessional. The food has nothing to do with the chinese taste but just a bad mixture of sauces. The only resturant in Oulu that is not taking care of hygiene and cleaniness and charging high prices. This place is a lot more spacious than most buffets, so it’s easy to enjoy your meal without feeling cramped 🧘‍♂️🍽️

I usually come here for the Yongshi Buffet rather than the regular buffet *There’s no extra charge—you just pick the ingredients you want 🥦🥩🧄, and the chef cooks it teppanyaki-style right in front of you 🔥👨‍🍳. Yongshi Buffet is available Monday to Friday from 16:00 to 20:00, and on weekends from 12:00 to 20:00🕓🍜 If you’re into spicy food, ask the chef for their special spicy sauce 🌶️—totally worth it!

For the regular buffet, if something runs out, just ask the staff—they’ll usually bring out more right away👍

The sushi tastes good 🍣, but sometimes it looks a bit dry Maybe placing the sushi pieces closer together would help keep the toppings from drying out 🙏

Overall, I can see this restaurant has improved a lot compared to a few years ago ⏳
