Maira African Soul Food — Restaurant in Tampere sub-region

Food was amazing! I ordered the lunch menu "Maira" which is also the name of the restaurant. Very unique taste compared to what you get normally in average Tampere restaurants. I'm glad there's this kind of different taste in Tampere now. Service was very friendly and thoughtful. We were quite big group, but thanks to their flexibility, we could fit in. I would still recommend to go with max 4 people, because of the small space. I really hope Maira can get bigger...

Kävimme tänään ostoksilla ja samalla lounaalla Tampereen kauppahallissa. Huomasimme sympaattisen Maira Soul Food ravintolan ja päätimme syödä siellä. Tiskillä oli arkipäiväisesti tarjous "Lihapata tai Kanakeitto 11 euroa". Ajattelimme että kokeillaan sitten sitä arkilounaana, mutta kun annokset tulivat, olivat ne todella "soul foodia", todella maukkaita ja länsiafrikkalaisella twistillä tehtyjä maukkaita annoksia, mukana tietysti myös keittobanaania ja muita vihanneksia. Ainoa ongelma lounaspalvelussa oli, että annokset kestivät tulla aika kauan kesken kiivaan lounasajan. Seuraavalla kerralla pitää varautua siemailemaan viiniä odottaessa ja maistaa myös "inskua", koska olemme inkiväärin ystäviä. Toivotamme paljon asiakkaita Maijalle ja Rahunille...
