We had one of the best dinners on our trip in the south of France last month at this restaurant! Actually, it might have been one of the best dinners I have ever had, and I am from Southern California. L’Incontournable came highly recommended by our hotel and they got the reservation for us; seating is limited so a reservation is highly recommended. The restaurant mainly has outside seating, it was situated in a courtyard with a fountain in the middle so this was wonderful on a warm summer night. To start off, my husband and I ordered an appetizer to share, it was a Bouillabaisse style soup but with vegetable and shrimp. We each had one taste and decided it was so good we didn't want to share so we ordered another one. The entrée was no less special. I got the quail and my husband got the beef tataki, and both were delicious. I never even knew quail could taste that good! We also got dessert and tea to end the night. Service was excellent, and their bathroom is also very clean and stylish. I would not be surprised if this restaurant gets some kind of Michelin recognition one day, I...

We had a meal here on our first night in Aix. The setting of the restaurant is beautiful in a picturesque square. This restaurant gets consistently high reviews and whilst we enjoyed our evening I felt that the menu was very limited. I had the sea bass main course which was very tasty and nicely presented, albeit a very small portion. My sister had the vegetarian option as she did not eat quail, sea bass or rare beef so luckily I asked if there was a vegetarian option which there was (this was not mentioned on the menu). The risotto was very good. We had two desserts which were good, but not exceptional. Be advised that this is a fine dining restaurant with a limited menu. The lunch menu probably would have suited our group more in hindsight. The cocktails were delicious, but we had to ask three times for the bill which was disappointing! The waiter was very apologetic but after a day of travelling we would have appreciated...

The place is very charming. Unfortunately yesterday was extremely hot, not the restaurant fault. But the place was very busy, and apparently the were short staffed. I felt sorry for seeing the waiters literally sweat running around all the time in bottom shirts. Maybe they should wear some running clothes instead. The kitchen and their restock station are not close to the tables. So everything took forever. They definitely should have more help and organize better the service, everybody is everywhere. We can not even judge if the staff were nice or not, because we barely had time to talk to them. I also think people pee all night long on the trees next to the tables, because urine smell was extremely strong. I would probably go back, but not in a busy...

We had an absolutely amazing experience at L’incontournable! From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was welcoming and elegant, and the staff was incredibly attentive and professional throughout the entire evening. The food was nothing short of extraordinary. We ordered the sea bass, the lamb, and the daily special, a perfectly cooked salmon and each dish was beautifully presented and full of rich, balanced flavors. The quality of the ingredients and the care put into the preparation were evident in every bite. We also tried the dessert, which was equally impressive, refined, delicious, and the perfect way to end an exceptional meal. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a top-tier dining experience. We’ll definitely be returning!

This is one of finest restaurants in Aix en Provence. I’ve been to this restaurant couple of times. The recent one was earlier this week with my friend who want to have fresh and authentic provençale food. It is located near place de la Prêcheurs. It serves amazing food. There menu costs 48€. A bit on higher side, however, the taste second to that. La Daube, which is provençale delicacy, is served déstructurés. With fine and fresh herbs it is lip smacking. There salad is heavenly fresh and gaspacho tastes mind blowing. The photo attached is of the dessert we had. And trust me it was aptly sweet, greatly refreshing and the combination was extraordinary. It’s a must visit restaurant in Aix.
