Bistrot Manali - Restaurant & Bar Courchevel — Restaurant in Albertville

We booked to go to Bistro Manali for the last night of our holiday. Our initial reception was very promising but sadly the service deteriorated from there. Despite there only being 4 tables occupied in the restaurant, we had to work very hard all evening to get any service. We were ignored in favour of the bigger tables and the service that we did receive did not match what we were hoping for given the prices that we were paying. The food was really great which we thought had made up for the service until it came to the bill. There were very clear instructions on the menu for a menu of the day. Those dishes with a star next to them were included. We had ordered two set menus accordingly and had two desserts as it was part of the deal. When the bill came these set meals were not depicted on the bill (which we had to request 3 times). When we asked about the menu of the day we were advised that we needed to have informed the waiting staff at the beginning of the meal in order to get the set meal. As people who have eaten a number of set meals in a number of countries, we have never come across this and frankly, it is ridiculous and thoroughly unacceptable when said set menu is €65. When we queried this, the response from the restaurant was begrudging and indifferent. We had to work very hard to get a correct bill. Sadly the fantastic food, which we really did enjoy was significantly let down by...

I recommend this place so much ! great location, delicious food, super great ambiance and the best service. The waitress made an error but the manager Guillaume was so amazing so helpful and made my experience go from bad to amazing ! i really really recommend this place 10/10 The only negative thing i have to say is that with the incident with the waitress Julien the general manager was so rude and horrible with costumer service made my experience horrible enough where i almost call the police and took legal action. but then the other manager stepped in and he was so amazing so nice amazing costumer service...

Ok, to be fair the flavour of the food was good. The portion size was small, but good flavour.

It is expensive, no...expensive.

That’s all ok. But in a setting like that I expect something vaguely resembling pleasant customer service. This place has anything but. Ignored, spoken to rudely, slow delivery, didn’t want to listen when there was something wrong with the food....
