Jacks — Restaurant in Albertville

A truly overrated location filled with poor staff and poor attention to customers. The inside areas are poorly prepared and cold. The tables are not easy to access, neighbor had to continually stand up to allow serving staff to access tableware, and passers by continually knocking into seated customers After ordering the first drinks it took 20 mins to arrive. The food 10 mins later. After requesting two more beers when the food arrived, and twenty minutes passed, we gave up requesting the bill. The two beers not delivered were on the bill!! Only good comment was the pizza we had was first class; well cooked and tasty.

This can only be classed as an expensive failure on my part selecting what is rated as a great place: just poor service poor service and poor service at prices which justify...

Lunch was a mediocre experience, it was kinda busy at 12.30 when we arrived and we were told that we couldn’t order straight away as the kitchen was busy, our server was lovely and very accommodating but even with his service we experienced slow service from the bar for our drinks then the kitchen, it would be acceptable for the wait if when the food arrived it was good, not even looking for amazing but way below ok was what we got! I reckon the geography of the bar means it gets punters all day everyday and they have such an opportunity to make it so amazing but our lunch was below par, it is a shame as it has the chance to be such a great lunch venue. Myself and three friends recently spent a week skiing in Méribel, Jacks Bar became our local, offering a great blend of food drinks and good vibes. The venue is right at the bottom of the slopes, making it the ideal pitstop before heading home.

A special mention goes out to all the staff who were lovely to deal with and were also great fun. In particular I'd like to mention Alan and Millie, two servers who went above and beyond the call of duty all throughout the week!

I would highly recommend Jacks to any ski goers in and around Méribel! Ask for Alan...
