I recently visited le Cèpe, and I must say that my experience was disappointing enough to overshadow any redeeming qualities the restaurant might have had. The moment we arrived, the pressure to rush was palpable, from the get-go, they seemed more interested in moving us along quickly than actually providing a pleasant dining experience.
When the food arrived, the situation worsened. My friends were served first, but my meal didn’t arrive for another 25 minutes. When I asked about it, it turned out they had simply forgotten. A small mistake, perhaps, but one that shouldn’t happen in a well-run establishment. What made matters worse was the rushed atmosphere that followed. As soon as our last bites were taken, we were hastily ushered out to make room for the next group, all within a timeframe that suggested they were more focused on turning tables than offering quality service.
There are certainly better options nearby, where customer service isn’t an afterthought. For a restaurant that seems to pride itself on its culinary offerings, the overall experience left much to be desired. Read moreVery disappointing experience. The service was terrible—none of the staff spoke English, and we felt pressured to order quickly. Despite that, they still forgot part of our meal, only bringing it out when the rest of the table was nearly finished. To make matters worse, they abruptly asked us to leave because they run on a two-seating system, something we were never informed of when we arrived. After all the rushing, we were left standing by the door, waiting for the bill.
While the food was good, the service was far below what you’d expect for the price. I would definitely recommend visiting Le Cromagnon (right next to it, great food and amazing service) instead and...

The restaurant looks nice, but tables are too close together. The food was good, and the cepe-themed menu made sense. However, the service was awful. We were rushed to order immediately (even dessert), despite the staff barely speaking English. They brought butter without plates and later forgot two main courses, which arrived over 20 minutes late—by then, the rest of us had finished eating.
The worst part? They rudely pressured us to leave the table for the next guests, only to make us wait another 10 minutes to pay. Definitely not worth it—the restaurant next door was...
