AVOID AT ALL COSTS! This place is terrible and the service is the worst I have ever experienced. We called in for lunch: I ordered what was described as a burger with cheese and ham. What arrived was pulled pork. Not the end of the world, but it was clearly off. It was also served in a brioche bun which one could have used as a cricket ball. I declined to eat it and pushed it to one side of our table. The waiting staff saw what had happened and spoke to each other about it in french (thinking we could not understand) and clearly thought it was funny. When we came to pay the bill I explained that the “burger” was inedible and so whilst I was happy to pay for our drinks and my wife’s soup, I did not want to pay for it. What followed was a verbal assault by the waiter, and then the owner. They insisted on us paying for the “burger” and threatened to call the police if we did not. I explained again why I was unhappy to do so and offered to pay half as a compromise. They refused and physically prevented us from leaving the restaurant and squared up to me. Extraordinary behaviour! We paid the 19 euros (it is also extraordinarily expensive and the service was incredibly bad/slow) just to get away from the place. Trust me - avoid at all costs.
We each had to go into the village to use the loo because this awful place doesn’t have one. And so we had to queue for 15 minutes which eats into precious holiday time. Another good reason to give this...
Read moreMy recent visit to Le Parvis Des Arcs left me thoroughly impressed, especially with their delectable salmon tartare. From the moment I stepped in, the ambiance exuded elegance and warmth. The service was impeccable, with attentive staff ensuring a seamless dining experience.
The presentation was also noteworthy, as the dish arrived beautifully plated, adding to the overall dining pleasure. The portion size was generous, making it ideal for sharing or indulging solo.
In addition to the exceptional food, the restaurant's ambiance added to the overall experience. The cozy yet sophisticated decor created a welcoming atmosphere, perfect for intimate dinners or celebrations.
Overall, my experience at Le Parvis Des Arcs exceeded expectations, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience. Whether you're a food lover or simply appreciate fine cuisine, don't miss the opportunity to savor their...
Read moreSuch a cute and cozy place with chic decor and lounge jazz music. I had avoided reserving here as I saw on Google it was listed as a wine bar. However, while passing by I saw they had a menu with some pleasant diversity from other restaurants in the area. We had a beef carpaccio with burrata to start, the lobster roll and the poutine. We were curious but didn’t try the fondue à bouillon where you cook meats in soup-wine stock at the table. Overall a refreshing experience offering a change from the fondue and raclette circuit. Staff is lovely...
