Wow... Juan Arbelaez a big chef from Paris decided to come to Tignes because he loves the snow and knows many people in the resort, this is what he just told me after dinner. We have been in Tignes over the last 20 years and sure the brasserade and fondue are great but I believe the resort needs to step up. You can see this in restaurant the Petite Savoyarde where they changed the menu to serve vegan and vegatarian dishes which is good. Now there is Bazurto... A restaurant part of the Yncio resort appartments. The only thing I can say is WOW... See the pictures (they don't tell anything about the flavours which are incredible). The food is just great and nothing you ever have encountered in the mountains (the chef is from Colombia duh...). Creativity from the chef... I mean, I love it. I can tell details like: coffee salt with Picanha and chocolate sauce, Monk fish with coconut sauce and cassave puree, fondue with a twist of chevre or Tuna so fresh on 1800 metres... You tell me ... HOW ? View on the main lift Bollin and Funniculaire from the restaurant completes it all. We will be back end of the season and hope you will still be open in Mai. Thank you for this experience. I am 100% sure this will work. Ps... I forgot the DJ that starts to play halfway the evening to make this a complete...
Read moreShared a bunch of appetizers and drinks. Drinks were okay, food was disappointing. The tacos were served on cold flour tortillas. That's the worst crime you can commit when making tacos, some abuelita is rolling in her grave. The chicharonnes and chorizo were the same exact dish with different meats, I would hope for some more imagination. The emapandas also had the same sauce as the chicharonnes and chorizo so it kind of felt like we had only ordered one thing, not three. The arepas were rather bland. The non-avocado guac was too watery but I appreciated the plantain chips that came with it, the pita chips were just weird. I've had excellent Latin American food elsewhere but even my partner who has never had a taco didn't think it was good.
Food came out two minutes after it was ordered. I like getting my food fast but it raises some questions on how it's prepared.
Atmosphere however is fantastic. Might come back for drinks, will definitely skip the...
Read moreTerrible place on the decline. The moment we arrived we had a bad feeling when we saw through kitchen door a member of kitchen staff feet on countertop with his phone. We tried to order wines from the wine list (poor by the way) we were unlucky as they were no longer available. We were told by waitress they are difficult to get delivered in Tignes and anyway it is not the peak of the season (11th of February in ski resort !!!) We ended with a 2021 red (listed 2018 on the wine list) Starters fish cevice covered with salt uneatable. The cote de boeuf was ok but not incredible. Despite the staff was trying to make an effort, this place clearly on the decline with very poor management. Will...
