Palais de l'Inde — Restaurant in Albertville

I visited this restaurant last year, they said that I needed to book a table in advance. As I didn't book in advance I reserved for the next day and bought some packed as take away. We were happy to visit the restaurant the next day. The waitress said it's better to order all at once as the restaurant was crowded, but we explained that as we were new we we will order some initially and on completion we will order more. The waitress agreed to take reorder on completion. Once we finished we requested for a few more dishes, but the waitress refused to take more order and said it was the rules of the restaurant and asked us to leave. We were shocked at their service as she initially agreed to reorder the food but what changed now. She continued to ask to leave. Then we explained that our kids have not finished their food and we cannot go in the midst and after some arguments it was agreed to bring just a few more dishes. Extremely disappointed with...

Been 3 times. Not again. First time was OK... service was a bit slow as it was busy. Second time good... 3rd time... worst meal out I've ever experienced. I am not one to leave a bad review, but... Service was TERRIBLE. Arrived at 1930 and the restaurant was full... however, every single person in the restaurant had booked so it was clear to the owner how busy it was going to be.. this was not a surprise! We didn't get our order taken for drinks till 20:15, we had our starter at 20:45, which I could not eat as it was stone cold and our main was served at 22:15..?! My husband tried to kindly say that they needed to get help in on a weekend, to which they replied "do you want to help" in a very sarcastic and rude way. Dreadful. You can cut corners where you want but being that low staffed and not offering a single apology for the wait, bad service and cold food... they shouldn't have...

We had a very disappointing time at this restaurant. We'd booked on the recommendation of the owner / manager, as he said it gets busy. So we arrived in good time and were shown to our table. That was it for 30 minutes. Not even a drink was offered. It was only when we got up to walk out, somebody came to see us and asked us to stay. When we did get served, the food was nice. I'm not sure what went wrong, but hopefully they will not let the same thing happen to...
