I booked this restaurant by mistake as I was looking on Google Street View for Le Lodge next door, another excellent restaurant. I was a bit shocked when I arrived as it's a very small restaurant. but the welcome from the family was lovely so we went ahead and had a fabulous meal. Everything was spot on, perfect service and superb food. It is very "cozy" as it's quite narrow, but if you're with friends you'll have a wonderful time. It is also very popular so you must book ahead, but it's definitely worth a visit. I recently had the pleasure of dining at this amazing restaurant in Val d’isere. While many restaurants in the area don’t offer gluten free options Bar Jacques is known for them in particular their gluten free pizzas! The highlight of the night for me was the goat cheese, walnut, and honey pizza, which was simply to die for. What impressed me equally was the staff’s friendliness and accommodation. A really friendly family run restaurant offering traditional French quisine as well as their own homemade pizzas. This is a small cosy restaurant and bar offering excellent service. Best to book ahead to be sure of a table as its popular and busy. They offer gluton free pizzas the bases are made in the restaurant a recipe they have perfected themselves on behalf of a regular customer.
