Le Petit Danois (The little Dane) - is a long established, Scandinavian themed pub in the heart of Val D isere. It's also my goto auberge whenever I'm in the area! Great atmosphere, great food, and live music daily during 'Apres ski" If you're looking for late night entertainment they have a DJ spinning party tunes later in the evenings but be warned this place can get 'Very' busy. The menu is 'pub grub' orientated and if you're feeling ravenous I would highly recommend the Viking burger, its big, its tasty and somewhat of a challenge to finish! Whilst many of the pubs I knew and loved have been replaced with 5 star "Champagne'' establishments" Le Petis Danois has remained faithful to its roots, a casual and bustling 'Proper pub' where it's not uncommon to see patrons dancing in their ski gear late into the evening.

I have an egg allergy and went here with my family today, I let them know about my allergy and if the burger was ok, they said yes. Our order was forgotten and after 50 minutes of waiting we told them we were still waiting while everyone around us who arrived later had their orders. After 5 mins of reminding them, our mains came one minute after our starters. It had obviously been rushed and our fries were in a pool of grease, and when I checked the burger, there was mayonnaise with the salad inside. The place is over crowded all the time and has a stench of body odour. During a private chat with my partner we mentioned the unfortunate smell and were overheard by some member of staff who then proceeded to tell the bar staff not to serve us so we had to leave - fair enough if it was an unfounded claim but it was true and it was a conversation had in private. Quite ironically, my partner then had a full drink poured over her over her erroneously by a bartender almost immediately following this conversation.
