We arrived without reservation so our only option was to seat on a stand right in front of the kitchen. It was disgusting how the staff 'treated' the food they served. One of them was grabbing bites from here and there and wiping his hands on his uniform. Touching raw meat and then salad without washing their hands. All of them were serving fondue bread in the baskets with bare hands, and the bread that was left in our basket when we finished, was put back in the big basket to be served to the next client! In rush hour the chef's working space was full of rubbish, empty plastic bags with meat blood was on top, they had no bins on the floor and no sink to wash themselves as they should. The cheese fondue was the worst we ever had in terms of taste and texture, the meat fondue was so hard to bite and swallow.. The staff was friendly except for the dark hair girl that put us to table, it was as if she was making us a huge favour!! It was by far our worst experience in...
Read moreI've had many fondues in my time and this was fine - nothing to write home about but a decent option.
My partner can't eat a lot of cheese so we chose here as they offer fondue for one. The flavour of the cheese was fine, however the burner was very intense and I couldn't turn it down, despite the cheese starting to burn to the bottom of the pot. I feel bad for the kitchen porter!
The salad and bread was fine - I was surprised that for the price, no charcuterie or cornichons came with the fondue.
My partner had the beef Bourguignonne - he enjoyed it. We were given the six sauces with no explanation of what they were which was a bit strange but we had fun anyway.
The service was fine - waiters are very friendly but rushed us to leave which was a shame, and not normal in France.
The restaurant itself is very well styled and the tables are a decent size for sharing platters. I wouldn't rave about it, but wouldn't rule out going again...
Read moreThe fondue factory did serve good tasty food. We ate there two nights. The first we were at a table. The second we were at the kitchen bar where we observed shocking hygiene standards. The servers scoop the fondue bread pieces up with their bare, unwashed hands into cloth lined buckets that have been recycled without cleaning between tables. The left over bread, returning from the tables is emptied back into the buckets for serving to the next customers also. The servers have handled dirty plates and ordering tablets, moneys etc, prime locations for bugs, it’s just gross. The kitchen staff were no better. They handled raw meats and then handled their mobile phones. Then served up deserts all without washing their hands. So it was a real let down to see, as the food was actually quite nice. We’ve just been through a pandemic, it seems no lessons have...
