This was the best cheese fondue (traditional Savoie version) I have tried so far. It was not uniform in its texture and seemed to either have a lot of butter inside or a bit of overcooked cheese with the fat separated from the rest of the cheese, but still it was great. The portion was descent. It’s a bit unfortunate they only offer fondue options starting from 2 people. Their local kir cocktail was pretty watery and was not worth the price. The prices were pretty high in my opinion, but probably worth it. The service was surprisingly good for a restaurant in such a touristic area

It is not easy to find an honest restaurant with good food in a tourist area like the old town of Annecy - yet we went two days in a row to this restaurant! The traditional savoyard fondue was really great and the second day we tried different dishes like tartiflette and souri d'agneau. They were simple yet generous with right cooking time. The restaurant has air conditioning- hiden behind wooden walls to not look strange (smart!) and is very very kid friendly. The staff is very polite and you can see they are happy working here. This is not a Porsche restaurant but a local,

Stepping into Le Zinc à Raoul in Annecy, the first thing that strikes you is its lively as the place was packed with customers. Despite the crowd, I was surprised by how quickly the food arrived. The standout dish for me was the Matouille À la Tome de Savoie. the cheese was perfectly melted, creating a rich, gooey base that elevated every dip. Whether pairing it with bread or other accompaniments, the warm, nutty flavor of the cheese added depth to each bite, making it a dish I’d happily return for 😋

Used to be our go to place when it was "le petit zinc" but sadly it is now serving a very basic and totally uninteresting touristy food. "Filets de Perche" were poor, had no flavour and we both needed alka seltzer to help with digestion. Some of the worst we ever had, over 50 years. Service was swift and friendly, yet visibly impatient to have us leave. The terrace is in a tiny alley opposite a very LOUD (defective?) ice cream making machine that comes on every few minutes. If you sit close to it, having a conversation will be a challenge... Overall a big disappointment, now just another tourist feeding factory....
