Casa Rosario is a little slice of Italy on a beautiful little hilltop in Southern France. The best choice on the menu without question is the pizza. I have been here many times and other offerings at this delightful bistro will not disappoint. What I like about their pizza is the fact that they use genuine Italian crust and not the typical cracker crumb pre made variety used in most French pizza shops throughout Provence. Not that I don’t like the French variety, but getting a real Italian pizza while living in France is a nice change and a real treat. The Margarita is always a good choice but last night I tried the mozzarella, goat cheese, cherry tomatoes and honey. What an unusual combination. I took the plunge and went for it and was surprised and delighted at how tasty it was. I would describe it as a cross between a French tart and an Italian pizza. If you speak English, Casa Rosario is the place to go as there are always many Americans and citizens of the UK during tourist season in Gordes. The wait staff speak English as well and the menu is printed in French and English. The inside seating is limited but cute and cozy. There are also more tables upstairs. There is a good selection of local Provençal wines. The outdoor terrace, where I dined ,is very large and pretty with comfortable chairs and good lighting. The service is quick, so un-French like, but quite accommodating to American tourists. However, the waitress mysteriously disappeared after giving me a take away box for my leftovers. I was going to ask for the check ( a must do in French restaurants), but she never returned. I waited almost as long for her return as it took to order and eat the pizza. Finally, I asked another waiter for my bill and he brought it immediately. My server was still AWOL. This has NEVER happened to me at this restaurant before, so please don’t be hesitant to try this restaurant. I guess it wasn’t my night for getting quick restaurant checks. Casa Rosario is a fun and tasty night, especially if you make it pizza night! I returned once again to this lovely restaurant and am delighted to relate that the pizza is still delicious and service was excellent! I will be coming back soon before I return home!

Lovely food.better to reserve rather than turn up if you want the garden experience. We didn’t and got a rather limited choice of where to sit. Greeting waiter a little abrupt however this is one of the attractive quirks of the restaurant. Fresh food even if put on the non reserved area (like going on the naughty step) but good for people watching! Amazing ice cream from attached parlour. Fun, quick service and reasonable price.

The best pizzeria in the beautiful hilltop town of Gordes. The pizzas are made Napoli-style (with a thick uneven crust). All our pizzas were absolutely delicious and were on par with the best pizzas I had in Napoli. Lovely tree shaded garden terrasse. Fast service. High chairs and changing table available.

Really good service! We came with a cranky toddler past her bedtime and they served her pasta within 2 minutes! Our pasta dishes were also very quick! The personnel was very nice even though it was completely packed they found us a place and even had a baby seat. I’m giving it 4 stars because the dishes could have been more flavorful. I’d recommend for families! Would also probably book in advance. We called 15 minutes before and thankfully they still...
