Terribly rude service. They have no business but still manage to show you you re unwelcome (not rich looking enough? - I'm French so it's not that-). I wait akwardly 5 minute in the lobby of this place after a waiter literally ran away when I walked in. we got 2 glass of wine and were given a side of chips...I m sorry but it s Provence, olives, cacahuète or nothing. The style is a strange mashup of pop, cubism and surrealism on a place called the Renaissance in a site with Roman and middle ages history (okay not a reason to consider this bad, just sad). Finally when came the moment to pay. I did not reach the minimum for CC so I offered cash, but they did not have change. And they don't t take checks. It s a business problem to be able to accept payment. Not the client. Making it sound like it was a favor to accept my CC was just the icing on the cake of the ridicule of this place. Also the rose du Ventoux they have is bad (and extremely overpriced). Keep...
Read moreThe ordering system, with QR code on the table is efficient. But they also take payment at time of order. And even worse, you are asked to tip! Before eating, before you know how much, or if, tip is warranted. And there is always the fear that if you don’t tip …
The food was good. My husband and I both had the chicken which was excellent and a huge portion. But when I asked to take away my leftovers they said, no! No box, no foil, not even some paper to wrap it in! This is a very expensive little town, where the parking costs minimum 8 euros. But this was ridiculous. I had a whole chicken leg and half my fries leftover. So I wrapped it up in a couple of napkins, along with all the bread that we hadn’t even touched. The servers overall were rushed and mostly unfriendly even though everything is automated. All the food looked good and I can’t fault ours for that. But the system and bad...
Read moreThis a solid four stars. The only reason for my reduction is due to the price. It is a bit expensive for what was offered. We came in last night and ordered the burrata and prosciutto-melon dishes. Both had excellent, fresh, local vegetables/fruit and the prosciutto was local as well. We ordered a bottle of Gordes Rose to share. We finished the night with the Raspberry Melba which was tasty, although it could’ve used a few more fresh strawberries. Overall, a very pleasant culinary experience. They certainly deserve more credit than they’ve received on Google in other reviews. We thought the service was attentive and all the servers were...
