Restaurant La Treille — Restaurant in Apt

Food was OK, service by the waitress was cool. The worst was the nasty behavior by the hostess or possibly owner's wife. We were two couples and as we only wanted a light lunch, ordered a glass of wine each and wanted to share an entree between each couple. We didn't expect it to be plated separately but then the head hostess came out saying we had to pay an extra 8 euro per couple just to share. We didn't quite understand as it was all in French and she started to take away one set of cutlery and placemat from each couple. We said the extra charge would be fine. Then one order came our completely wrong-not what we had ordered. After an unfriendly exchange they took it back and we could hear the chef screaming angrily as well as the hostess. Absolutely the rudest restaurant I’ve ever been to. The waitress and the chef were shouting at myself and my partner telling us to shut our mouths and threatening to call the police as we sent back an omelette that had been undercooked. They wouldn’t take it off our bill and threatened to call the police when we argued about it. All sorts of insults were shouted at us. I would give no stars but that option wasn’t available. If you enjoy being insulted and shouted at when you are on your holidays then this is the restaurant for you. Personally I would advise anyone to avoid it...

Called this place to have lunch with the familly, they told us they don't take reservations during sumertime. When we arrived we found 4 or 5 free tables (of 4 people) and the waiter told us they were booked.
