We stopped there for dinner with a group of 5. It’s a hot day but we were sat down fairly quickly next to an additional heat source of a drink fridge with the promise that we can be sat at another table when they leave. They were fairly busy but there were still empty tables. We waited for maybe 20 min, no service, no cold drink to appease us. I tried to talk to the female server but she was too busy for me. I was trying to sit at another table who became available that’s not next to a fridge but she’s reluctant. I sat there anyway cuz it’s hot. I know restaurants can not have A/C but I would’ve expected some fans. You know, the cutting edge technology of fan?? When she finally gave in cuz I said at the new table, she also moved some place setting to our new table because she thinks “we used them” after we told her that we did not. I also mentioned how hot it was, her response was “it’s hot everywhere”, I mean wow, I was in disbelief. At this point, I lost complete taste of that restaurant no matter how good their food might have been, but just in time she came pretending to be nice and asked us if we’re ready. We were not and got up to leave. We clearly could spend our money better elsewhere at a real business.
I came from a place known for their rude service and subtropical climate just but we put it up cuz we would get our food fast and they at least know about the fan technology decades ago. This was just a most horrible experience.
We ended up in a more fancy Brasserie on the main stretch with excellent A/C, bartender and service, with carafe of cold water without asking! Heavens! Food? Excellent!
Owner of this place, be careful who represents your “business” and girl, your life might be hard, but you’re in the service industry, so maybe you know, watch...
Read moreHi all We did not get in the door, thus we cannot comment on the food, however some constructive advice to the owner. On the 20th of August at 18.05pm we were passing by and decided to stop for a drink and a look at the menu. There were three chairs across the entrance. I asked could we pop in for and drink, normally we order a bottle of wine. However we were told they do not serve just a drink and I quote "good luck". The place was empty. So we went on further up the hill for a drink and some food. At 19.30pm we passed and noticed there was 10 people max in the place. Two years ago, we would pop in here for a bottle of wine on our way and some food sometimes and there was no issue. A quick drink can lead to a meal. Guys I rarely complain, but this complaint is meant to be constructive criticism. Would I risk another refusal, no....
