I'm so sorry to say but this was the worst food in France and I normally give a lot credit here. Where to start! So we arrived early at the start of service. There was only front of staff. A young guys who was pleasant. We took time ordering as it was only us and another couple in the restaurant. He was polite and helpful (to start). We ordered traditional French food. The soisison just arrived as lump cut into slices but cold as ice from freezer. Not at room temperature! The mixed platter was the same with trout being so dry it was like a Hollywood prop!! We spoke to the front of house and he said he would talk to the kitchen! He arrived back with the plate being mixed up but still out of the freezer! No bread offered on the table so the sausage was just dry cold (not room temperature) sausage with nothing else! Then a single young man arrives and the front of house pays all attention to this table. We had asked for house wine and told "no" however a picther of house arrived at this table! We finished our bottle (e$27) and never again asked if we need more drinks The steak was so badly cooked for a main and I had a beef casserole that was terrible and without seasoning. True to form there was only one front of house trying to serve the whole house and this was overwhelming as his attention was drawn to a single table. We tried to be polite and say the food was bad but this was met with a smile and to thank us for our comments. Overall it was the worst meal ever in our 15 years of dining in France. This is boil in the bad cooking charged at premium prices. I will however give it one extra star as the decor was nice and clean

Food was a disgraceful attempt so...

It is very hard to write this review..as I want to give them 5 star for everything. The food tasted great, the initial service was very good as well as the day was sunny and we sat outside. However there was a major issue that I cannot accept or overlook. What we had needed breads to finish them off. But there were no bread in sight which is very unusual for France. At the end I asked for some bread and the server girl said she will bring some. However she never appeared with the bread. Very very poor service. And on top, when I went to pay and told the counter guy about it, after he asked how was it, he said that the bread was supposed to be on the plate given I had bone marrow as well. But it was not on the plate!!!!! And he did ask for the full price even though the food was not served fully. Very very disappointed as I did love the fries...

We waited an hour for our food. When I asked if it was coming the server didn’t come back to me so I searched for her, she said it was coming. I pointed out it had taken an hour and she shrugged her shoulders, no ‘sorry for your wait’. It arrived soon after, again no apology. I asked for some drinks on the house as we had drunk ours by this point and they begrudgingly obliged. a simple apology and I would have said ‘no worries it happens’ and it would have all been ok but instead they treated me as rude for asking why it had taken so long. The steak hache was good, the veggie burger ok, and the chips greasy and soggy - I didn’t eat mine but my son did as he was so hungry by this point! We have always had excellent food and service in Arras there are some fantastic restaurants but...
