Where do we start with our love of Marguerite? How can we give a 6+ star review? The ultimate local, warm and comforting experience from start to finish with Victor.
The team was kind enough to take us in and feed us at 515pm (despite closing technically at 6pm) on a rainy Sunday afternoon.
They fed us the most comforting home baked tarts, salad and potato, and a local cheese plate (omg amazing), then finished it off with desserts, which featured delicious local cherries.
Sitting in an 11th Century cellar, being educated by Victor with the most delightful Chablis, we felt so at home.
So much so that we went back the next day for a cheeky coffee, home made cheese puff and of course, some more Chablis.
Thank you Victor and your team for your hospitality, we can’t wait to visit...

Food is simple and light: Tarte aux oignons, gaspacho, gougères, fresh salad and a side of gratin dauphinois (or so it seemed and tasted). For desert: sherbets, peach tart... A nice glass of wine to accompany (if you're not the one driving). We'll definitely stop at Marguerite on our next...
Read moreWonderful example of French tradition, service and atmosphere. It has a simple menu of local produce cooked to perfection. They honour the local produce and producers beautifully. The wine compliments the food perfectly and if you like beer they have excellent artisan beer on tap. The service is second to none. Amazingly friendly and without pretentiousness. Forget the posh nosh, this is the real deal. We had a few small plates and went back again the next day for more. Probably the best spot in Chablis. Thank you for helping...
