La Cabane d'Oleron — Restaurant in Avignon

Honestly one of the best experiences ever. The food is fresh and delicious. But there's more to it , the host is a welcoming, polite and very respectful person and it makes the whole thing so truly enjoyable. If you want to learn and try some seafood but you're not very comfortable since you don't know much about it - this is the right place. The host will tell you everything you need to know and will adopt the meal to your taste. The atmosphere is very cinematic, the tables are in the cozy corner of a market and it's very lively. You feel like you're some kind of insider, experience is truly authentic while the service is on the high level. We will definitely come back here when in Avignon....

Had mussels rather than a seafood platter (which look great). Mussels were very disappointing: small, lots had not opened and those which had opened still had the beard attached.

I mentioned this to the waitress who told me I could easily remove it, which is true, but for 15eur you’re paying for the chef to prepare your food properly.

No bread offered and fries from Super U.

Stick to the oysters or the prawns...

The whole markt hall is filled with many different seafood shops but i was happy to eat at La Cabane Oleron. It was near closing time but we were not turned away. The shop was very welcoming also generous as more oyster prawn given on top of our order (maybe near closing time?).
