La Karafe — Restaurant in Bayonne

We really enjoyed our visit to La Karafe with a couple of friends. The food was to share and was very delicious and surprising. Traditional Basque kitchen was very well mixed with the modern taste.

The wines were also very surprising. A small wine list showed some good options and after the first wine, we were invited to look at the "wine cellar" behind the bar in order to a new bottle and were very happy with the suggestions and possibilities.

Staff was very friendly and some spoke English as well.

Would definitely recommend and if we would have stayed longer in Bayonne we would definitely...

Friendly stuff and good atmosphere. Enjoys a good view by the rover as well.

The food was nice, delicious and well decorated. It is good to mention that they only have tapas food and it is not a real restaurant, so don’t expect to get full. It is a quite small bar as well so it might not be always possible to find a good spot to set.

I would come back again and I recommend it for others.
