City Break MIRADOUR — Hotel in Bayonne

For anyone elderly, with a disability or even slightly overweight this hotel/bed and breakfast is highly unsuitable. Which they do not mention.|The steps to the rooms are steep and narrow. |There is No elevator.|The toilet is so small they have cut a piece of e out of the door so it doesn’t hit the bowl.|There is No parking, even though they say there is.|We booked two beds and got a double bed and a single bed on the floor.|There is No lounge at all, just a tiny picnic table and chairs.|All of this would be ok if it were cheap.|As the location in the old part of the city is amazing.|But it’s as expensive as any other hotel in the area with proper facilities.|We stayed January 4th 2024...

Demande d'information sur Le Bon Coin pour réserver une nuit à date précisée dans le message ; réponse immédiate du gestionnaire qui me renvoie sur le site de réservation des chambres d'hôtes ; réservation dans la foulée sur le site internet mais à une mauvaise date, plus tôt que celle souhaitée (erreur d'attention, ma faute je ne conteste pas). Arrivée sur place, chambre évidement non disponible et appel du gestionnaire : il n'y peut rien, c'est entièrement de ma faute, d'autant qu'il m'a appelé ou envoyé un message le lendemain (il ne sait plus) constatant mon absence au petit déjeuner. Vérification du journal d'appels et des messages : ni l'un ni l'autre. Bilan : obligation de trouver un plan B en l'absence d'information sur ma bévue (pas simple le jour même sur la côte basque) pas de proposition de geste commercial (pas le remboursement intégral hein, juste une réduc sur une prochaine réservation à hauteur du ménage à ne pas faire et des petits-déjs non servis, à une date qui ne pénalisera pas trop l'activité touristique) un silence du gestionnaire du gîte qui s'en fout, parce qu'effectivement il en le droit ; mais on attend autre chose d'un hôte, surtout quand le geste commercial ne lui coûte rien Pour résumer, aucune idée du confort et de la qualité du gîte, pas eu cette chance. Par contre n'attendez pas autre chose qu'un échange mercantile, sinon vous...

Well located but a tad difficult to find in the narrow alleys of the old city. Nevertheless, great hospitality, super clean amenities, solid breakfast and a professional, knowledgeable and attentive host in Norbert. Granted the staircase is a tad narrow and steep (so leave the heavies in the car). Quiet location, great nearly free parking within walking distance. Recommended ?...
