Hôtel bar Brasserie L'ESCALE — Restaurant in Bergerac

I recently stayed at this wonderful hotel in Bergerac and couldn’t have been more pleased with our experience. First and foremost, the cleanliness of the rooms was impeccable – everything was spotless and well-maintained. The beds were extremely comfortable, ensuring a great night's sleep after a long day of exploring.

The location is another major plus! It’s just a short 10-minute walk to the town center, making it very convenient to enjoy all the local attractions. Additionally, being directly opposite the train and bus station made our travel around the region super easy and stress-free. If one has a car there is also a free parking area across the road available and next to the train station.

One of the highlights was the hotel’s lovely brasserie downstairs. The food was absolutely delicious, with a great variety of dishes that cater to all tastes. We dined there multiple times during our stay, and each meal was exceptional.

A special mention goes to the owner, who was incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay. He went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed and made us feel so welcome. We are genuinely grateful for his hospitality and kindness.

We arrived in Bergerac without anywhere to stay and went to the bar across the road from the station. The bar-tender was busy but he found time to talk to us and found us a room for the night. ||The room was air-conditioned and clean, with a powerful shower. The bed had a fabulously comfortable mattress.
